Sasuke And the sharingan-boy

Is it just me who thinks sasuke looks nerfed lots already?
Like.... if we go back to the end of the naruto manga and look how sasuke was back then. I hardly think Sasuke would've needed to even dodge the attacks of this boy. Why not just get him under some genjutsu or something similar?

What you said may be true, but even a Sasuke hater like you can admit that from what we saw at the end of the manga Sasuke should fodderize this kid, unless you're implying the boy is above juubi jin Madara's level and Sasuke just can't deal with him.

Even if you hate a character you should want the power levels in the manga you read to be consistent, otherwise kishimoto has lost perspective on his own story, inconsistencies should annoy ALL fans who care about the quality of the story.

Not really. Itachi tried using tsukuyomi but sasuke either dodged it or it didn't work. He also tried using regular genjutsu. It had zero effect

I actually like Sasuke as a character and think that people overestimate his ability. In a story like this, the characters don't just go full-out at the start of a battle. Sasuke has to put some kind of effort into defeating the kid, even if he is a large margin-more stronger.

Of course but it's all about his mentality at that moment which was he felt another presence and defended himself not really in the frame of mind to kill the kid.

Kishi is making the characters like that to fit in the current sitting, there's/ there won't be enough overpowered opponents that can put a challenge to either one of the two powerhouses. So in a way, Kishi is toning it down -so to speak- for the sake of the plot.
It's very similar to how Naruto was not able to detect bolt hiding right next to him, or how he didn't know Saarada & Chocho were following him w/ using SM while Jounin Kakashi was able to perfectly spot 3 Genins hiding from him in the past.
