To fully understand this theory,there are some prerequisite knowledge required,it can also be called as the Hypothesis of this theory.

Rinnegan is a Doujustu exclusive to the Uchiha clan.
However,an Uchiha taking Senju DNA,he will not awaken Rinnegan;as in the case of Danzo Shimura.That guy had 10 sharingans embedded in his arm,also had Hashirama DNA but yet he didn't awake the Rinnegan in the Shishiu's eye.

SENJU-SENJUstu.having these two words in a sentence,one can see there is trivial relation between them;So close are they,infact,can be seen in the final fight between Hashirama and Madara(with Kyuubi).But sadly,we have assumed one for another.

My theory is ::
An Uchiha will awaken Rinnegan when he has mastered Senjutsu.

During Sasuke 's fight with Killer Bee,he was fatally wounded with the latter's Lariat;then Jugo made his body grow on Sasuke's damaged body part and saved Sasuke from death.In this way,Sasuke now can use Senjutsu.

by that ,I mean,watching Naruto's death while saving him or something similar to that.
And,I would even bet that Sasuke will awaken the Rinnegan before Naruto does!!

Well Danzo wasn't genetically related to the Rikudo Sennin and he had only 1 sharingan eye(in his head) and it wasn't even EMS, from Madara getting the Rinnegan when he was at deaths door and his life unnaturally extended it can be assumed it takes a while for the Rinnegan to unlock with Senju and Uchiha DNA. Also, Hashirama's DNA was limited to his arm, unlike Madara whose entire body was infused with it.

Also, it's possible a Senju that implants EMS into their eyes would also get Rinnegan.

I really really hope i do not end up murdering your facts....

1. The Senju and the Uchiha bloodline will fuse to grant the Uchiha the Rinnegan abilities... as proved by Madara and the so6p himself.. Danzou is neither uchiha nor senju, though he had both clans DNA, neither of the sharingans where even MS and he could not control Hashirama's powers.

2. No, senjutsu is not needed. senjutsu is in a class of its own. Sasuke can or rather could already user senjutsu, though nobody except Kishi knew that it was infact a form of senjutsu... the Cursed seal of heaven, sasuke is already compatible with the cursed seal that is why Juugo fused with him. it does not mean he can use senjutsu. naruto had senju(Uzimaki) blood which is enough to withstand the power of the kyuubi,, we all know how many chapters had passed before he could even gain half control.

3. NO! Awakening the Rinnegan in any of those boys will just repeat one stupid hate cycle, just that now there will be two hate cycles, The Resurrection of the hokages and orochimaru are enough excitement to end the series right now

The Rinnegan is in no way exclusive to the Uchiha clan. That is the most fallacious thing I have read on this sight. If it was exclusive to the Uchiha clan then they wouldn't need an external power source to awaken it. Plus, Sasuke is a pure Uchiha and always will be. Naruto will get the Rinnegan to fulfill the Sage's prophecy and split the Juubi with Yin-Yang Release.
