Sasuke and Obito: Two Most misunderstood characters in the manga?

I agree, many people on this base are just too young to understand the underlying motive behind obito's actions. IMO i feel sasuke's motive is perfectly justified and doesnt need any explanation (brother killed parents in front of him :|)

I've seen a lot of people complaining about Sasuke and Obito in the last few weeks about their actions and their motives, but first of all you got to look deep into their character. They both suffered tragedy at young ages, and had weak mindsets then.
Take Sasuke for example, he had his parents, cousins, aunties, uncles, maybe even grandparents slaughtered that night. After finding out that the supposed 'loved' town that you live in was responsible for their demise, you would want revenge wouldn't you?
And onto Obito. The main misconception with him is that many people think he's doing all of this for rin. I know he said 'because you let rin die' but look at the question kakashi asked him again 'How come until now? which basically interprets to why didn't he return to the village. Think about it for a second, what do konoha and the uchiha have to do with Rin's death? it's clear Obito has other sources of hatred as well.

Sasuke seeking revenge is acceptable, as long as it's geared towards only those who were actually involved in orchestrating and participating in the Uchiha Massacre, Danzo and the Elders. Sasuke planning to eliminate the entirety of Konoha, including all of the innocent civilians and those who are ignorant of the true events that actually occurred that night, isn't acceptable, especially when Tobi clearly states that the actual massacre was necessary.

As for Obito, the manga clearly shows there's nothing more to his face heel turn than Rin dying, which in itself is sad because as a shinobi he should've been taught that death is an immensely high possibility for he and his comrades. Even more upsetting, is the fact it's simply her dying, he's not even concerned with the events behind her death and I highly doubt that Konoha had any involvement in her death along with the Uchiha as well. If anyone is involved it's Kirigakure
