True. I'm not a fan of kids saving the world, or Naruto being the child of prophecy crap, however, this is shonen, so I don't mind.

Yea, what I think is, that Sasuke wanted to kill off Naruto, so that he wouldn't be a hindrance to his goal of killing Itachi. Also, I think another possibility is that Itachi told him about the MS during the massacre, so Sasuke wanted to eliminate his best friend, hence gaining the MS to kill off Itachi.

Yeah but as I said Sasuke still had the same desire even when he joined with him in war, even after the whole "change of heart" thing.

Killing off Madara wouldn't solve things, as technically, they're killing him. In the future, someone again may go apeshit and start a war once more. This is a really complex concept, as I don't know how Kishimoto would deal with this. In the real world, true peace can never be achieved as long as humans exist.

if i can tell anything about Naruto, he will try a TNJ on Madara after they beat him down, maybe Sasuke will too, all that Uchiha hatred and stuff (Hell, he may even try to reason with the Juubi/Shinju or however you call it)

the peace pattern as of now.. Jiraiya concluded that true peace can be attained by believing in it.. Minato idk ... Yahiko n Nagato concluded that peace can be achieved by mutual understanding in everything (only it later restricted to pain) ... The sage believed that 'Cooperation' is the key to peace ... Naruto has the belief, can put himself in many others' shoes and understand them( having gone through sufferings himself), ready to cooperate with everyone.. a mix of all their ideas can bring true peace.. thats my take, correct me if im wrong
