Sasuke and Naruto

OK i know it doesnt really matter since its the middle of war but BZ commented that no transmigrants have co-operated as well as Naruto and Sasuke so this led me to wonder where Narutp and Sasukes friendship stands. Sasuke seems to just think of people as tools now and i wonder if naruto was useless would he have saved him. MY main question is do you think Naruto is actually Sasuke's friend? I mean when they got power ups from the sage Naruto said we're great friends but sasuke didnt seem to care.
