No rasengan is just a ball of chakra, rasenshuriken is equivelant to chidori in the fact that they include a change in shape and nature of chakra but rasengan just had change in shape

Yeah no doubt, but when they are only hitting each other (as in rasengan and chidori not Sasuke and Naruto) since they have similar power levels and its a concentrated point, rasengan can't break through unless its simply more powerful. I think the only way to compare the two power-wise is by the few instances we have of them hitting each other.

But yeah the rasengan would be a lot worse to get hit by head on. Think about his fight vs Pain Nagato. The corpses could get battered around brutally and get up fine. But one rasengan to the chest or back and good bye. Must completely obliterate the insides.

I think it does both to be honest. The flying/spinning comes from the expanding power as well. Too much for the body to contain. Obviously its all just speculation but I find these two jutsu particularly cool.

I dont think that we can predict their next fight, judging from their ones from the past. Naruto & Sasuke are stronger than they have ever been before. And Sasuke definitely wont be defeated just by a rasenshuriken. I think their next fight will truly prove who is the strongest of the two instead of ending up as a tie.

In the end Naruto is stronger than sasuke that's just how it is. I myself like sasuke but it's just how the story is. It would make sense if the manga/anime was called Sasuke but it isn't bottom line Naruto wins.

how can that be? naruto is already wasted fighting edo kages and tobi...he used too mch chakra and sasuke is just fighting fodder zetsus...the handicap is just way too mch...

That is true, but with what Dems said, the rasengan has a larger blast radius while chidori is a single target. If you check the anime again Kakashi says that if Naruto had slipped he would have killed Sasuke and then Jiraiya says "right back at you", referring to Chidori.
