Sasuke and Naruto weren't nerfed. Power scaling has changed.

Yes people, power scaling has changed. It happens all the time across several different series.

You see, either two things happened. Naruto and Sasuke were scaled back or everyone else was scaled up. There are some people who think the latter is true and some are already calling Frankenstein Uchihas eye move instant and that's why Naruto and Sasuke were hit but that's logically impossible. Instant is an infinite speed so the time to react is literally zero, nothing in universe can react to instant and Sasuke reacted to it and defended Sarada!

That only leaves the first option true, they were scaled back. Kishi broke his manga during the war arc when he scaled them up too fast and they were almost on the level of Hagoromo and Hamura, men who were gods in their own right. They surpassed everything in history besides those guys in 3 days!

Tldr~ Kishi scaled them back like all the other great manga authors so that his shit could actually make sense!

While it is true that the only end for infinity is its own begining how did you get that information ?

Do you really expect Naruto to bust out a Lava Rasengan and blow up the entire area or Sasuke to use Amateratsu or Chibaku Tensei and completely wreck their area and everyone in it?

I agree the power scaling was over 9000 during the war arc and Kishi is retcon that somewhat by making Naruto and Sasuke babysitters.

It would have been a different story if it had just been Naruto and Sasuke. They could have focused on Shin and not worry about Sarada and Chou Chou

First let me make something clear. The bald guy's telekinesis like MS ability isn't instant. His attacks move and have momentum. They don't teleport. When the blades were approaching Sarada, you could clearly see them spinning. They could only be spinning if they were in motion and had the momentum to move and torque to spin. Plus, the blades were in mid air when they were shown approaching Sarada, if they teleported they wouldn't need to be launched like that in mid air. The sword attack on Naruto was super quick and unexpected, that's all. Naruto's previous encounter with Shin also depicted the tools moving, nothing instantaneous.

Now, coming to the topic, Naruto and Sasuke's power scaling hasn't changed, THEY HAVE BEEN NERFED. It's pretty clear and Kishi even gave hints leading to it. Firstly, the chapter's title means lack of evolution. Secondly, the balded guy's words after hitting Naruto and Sasuke implied exactly the same thing. He said that due to peace, Naruto and Sasuke didn't evolve due to which their battle skills have rusted, which Kurama confirmed. And he also said that lack of evolution leads to destruction, which clearly implies Naruto and Sasuke have been nerfed. Kishi intentionally did this.
