Sasuke and his Rinnegan

How did Sasuke get the Rinnegan? I understand that he is the reincarnation of Indra, but even still you need both Indra and Ashura's Chakra to be able to unlock the Rinnegan (E.G. Madara couldn't achieve the Rinnegan without Hashirama).

When did he get Ashura's chakra? Did Kabuto implant Hashirama's cells into Sasuke? Did the sage give some of Ashura's chakra to Sasuke? Either I'm forgetting something, or this is a plothole... Anyone know?

Umm to let you guys know. You don't have to get asura's and India's chakra, just hagoromo's, indra + asura's chakra is just a path to it. Other than receiving it directly.

I don't know, nowhere in the wiki it states Sasuke got Hashirama's cell( not sure about this though).Probably since he got the power directly from the sage and that too the yin half,he awakened the ocular doujutsu since yin corresponds to genjutsu and all that stuff.I may be wrong though. I'm actually waiting for kishi to sign up on Naruto base to get the answers...

In the Viz it stated about Kabuto using Hashirama's cells. Or something along those lines. But, the cells wouldn't even still have Ashura's chakra, it's not even debatable.

he was healed by kabuto with hashirama cells added ut he got it from hagoromo. hago trusted sasuke and naruto to prevent IT from happening but just in case it happened (which it did), sasuke could cancel and deactivate it. which is why, instead giving normal rinnegan, he gave sasuke a special rinnegan. it is a rinengan, but it got the look of sharinnegan and can deactivate IT
