Sasuke: An elaborated assessment up to the point of Chapter 644

I Agree and have spoken these thoughts myself. I think every Sasuke fan likes him because we truly cannot guess whats on his mind unlike the rest of the Characters. His path has made some many twist that you can forever stay interested. Every Sasuke fan whether he's the strongest character or the weakest character can relate to Orochimaru. We want to see how Sasuke's path with end. We want to discover his plans. My only issue with Chapter 644 is Sasuke just really seemed to be talking out of character but I feel this may be explained later so patience is my friend.

Seriously dude, you have some good points, and I agree the Sasuke fans are discriminated against, but do you read some of the threads they make?

All I've been reading is Sasuke SM this Sasuke SM that, and come on thats like Naruto getting the sharingan.
Also the fact that so many Sasuke threads are Naruto vs. Sasuke threads in disguise, it gets annoying after a while.

I do, and I've already enlightened and clarified upon that subject. I guess we have an opposing insight on what we judge as annoying. I just stated in my thread that even I get disappointed with people from my own fanbase. I won't explain any further seeing as the point of this thread wasn't to govern the perspective of Naruto/Sasuke fans or weigh them both on a dead set of scales. I'm not pointing fingers. Like any other thread, it's a post based by my own experience and opinion. It appears that whenever the names "Sasuke" or "Naruto" are brought up in the same thread, it's identifiably an open discussion on their versus. This is not the case here this time.

Indeed. I really felt that Sasuke just wasn't "there", then again I can just be pseudo psychoanalyzing things like I normally would at first. I really would like to see more from him, and I think he is being absolutely starved of his potential by the current point of the plot focus. That's why I hope he'll get the chance to take his shot. If he doesn't.. Well, I'll still always adore him as a character. I didn't fall for this character because of his skills after all.

What? I don't hate Sasuke at all. Hebi Sasuke was one of my favorite characters and in fact, this chapter Sasuke really pleasantly surprised me.

Hating a character because of a fanbase is absolutely retarded, I'm completely addressing his views on how the base reacts to Sasuke fans.

My Thoughts exactly. Kishimoto has been constantly storing massive potential in Sasuke's character. The possible Totsuka blade and Yata Mirror, Rinnegan, Sage Mode and Perfect Susanoo. I'm not claiming that he will obtain all or any of these things but it has been implied and foreshadowed he is capable of achieving such things. We also have yet to see the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan abilities to the degree Sasuke can push it. I'm waiting to see where Kishimoto ability and path wise will be leading Sasuke.

Well done. Great analogy, Sasuke being silver - Naruto being gold. Spot on. Like how you didn't fanboy and I prefer Sasuke to Naruto as Sasuke.. he may seem un realistic but compared to Naruto, he's as real as a character in manga can get. ANyways, good job.

@OP. You've hit the nail on the head with this thread but honestly it won't change anything. As you said people want their character to be superior over the other even if it means making up things that didn't happen. This chapter is good proof that no matter what Sasuke does the Naruto fandom will bash Sasukes.

As a result retaliation from the Sasuke fandom will happen and we the base will continue to argue over Sasuke/Naruto even if it's little things like this chapter.

I will agree that we have some in our fanbase who do this but its not as constant as what the sasuke fanbase do.. There is Solo, Uchicha Macho, sasuke the boss, etc. Solo especially since he is constantly making troll threads.. it seems more like our fanbase is retaliating.

It takes two parties to create an ongoing war. I think both sides are of equal reflex. No matter what started it to begin with, we won't transcend that far back into history lmao.. It's still all the same perpetual shame in the commencing of incoherent insults and bashing.

I don't see anything contradictory at all since I said Naruto fans do it as well.. but Sasuke fan or not you would have to agree that the Sasuke fans are most constant with this trolling and I'm not saying this because I'm a naruto fan either.. I'm experienced in both sides I suppose since I think Sasuke is a cool character. I'm not blinded by the Sasuke trolls and I don't let them change my opinion of Sasuke and his fanbase as a whole. See there are good fans out there like you and Bijuu Bomber to name a few. I'm not trying to weigh one side higher or lower.. I'm just speaking the truth because honestly they are more Sasuke troll threads than Naruto ones and there are more Sasuke troll accounts as well.. either way both sides can take blame. For me I don't know why they constantly have to be compared about with everything even little minor things.. I mean its okay if its on a normal basis or somewhere close around there but I like both characters and even though I favor Naruto and have him as a favorite character I don't try to make him look better than Sasuke anymore because honestly who knows Sasuke may end up being stronger or vice versa. As for Sasuke being strong willed. His being swayed by Oro, then Tobi, then Hashirama tells a different story.

As for his being realistic....hmmmm....how common is it for a guy to be extremely handsome, hail from a famous and highly respected family, be top of his class AND be loved by all the girls despite his cold attitude. Even just a single of this characterizations is rare in real life.

Naruto is apparently not much of a looker which is pretty common, didn't do so well in school, also common. His unfair discrimination because of his status as a jinchuuriki is also realistic as people once discriminated blacks merely for the color of their skin.

I think every time Sasuke has been punted, kicked, hit, slapped, ect.. I have cheered in some way. I am not a Sasuke fanboy in the slightest. I do like the ponder whats going to happen given each characters temperament and personality, and of course theorize (I'm not sure I've ever been right except the obvious leading plot lines).

However I don't hate or want to rip on any character because someone might like that character. I would like to see a return where not everything is dependent on one character. Where you can have a chakra tank like Naruto and still need a handful of other ninja( Hinata, shikamaru, shino, guy..ect) with various talents to win the day. Maybe an MVP or two but not so one sided. I think it would cut out a lot of this Red Vs Blue mentality.

Very nice thread (sadly many won't read the thread :/). To me Sasuke is by far the most interesting character in the Manga, that's because he still remains a engima, he is more or less the only Character which part isn't already set in stone.
