It does count since Naruto had to mix his own chakra with Kurama, to transfer Kurama's chakra.

Madara stole Hashirama's DNA thus merging Ashura's chakra with Indra's after their battle at VoTE, before Hashirama died. Rikduo clearly stated this. "Before the transmigration was over"

He was talking about Indra leaving Madara,not Ashura leaving Hashirama.You don't get my point.If Kabuto/Orochimaru colected DNA from Hashirama before he died that means Ashuras chakra still reside in those cells.It doesn't matter that Madara merged his DNA with Hashirama's,if we go by your logic and say that when Ashura transmigrated took his chakra with him then it doesn't matter if Madara and Hashirama's chakra were merged,Ashuras chakra would still dissapear and no Rinnegan for maddy.

When Ashura and Indra's chakra awoke, it caused Rikudo's chakra to sprout inside Madara, which awoke the Rinnegan. It doesn't matter if he doesn't have Indra or Ashura's chakra anymore as Rikudo's chakra was already awoken inside him, which is what caused the Rinnegan to awaken.

If I used your logic, Madara wouldn't have Rinnegan since Indra's chakra already left him.

The chakra probabbly has to enter the heart. Which is why Madara and Sasuke were wounded in the same place and why Sasuke hasnt activated rinnegan yet although he has recieved chakra from Hashi and Naruto.

People are still stuck on this DNA tip because for like past three years its been the gospel. Well the God has spoken and he said it was CHAKRA that was mixed to activate rinnegan. Perfect example of cognitive dissonance. smh
