Well, to defeat Sasori, Konan needs to crush Hiruko, a feat that Chiyo stated she couldn't accomplish

, even when she had her Jikki Chikamatsu that soloed a castle. Only with Sakura's superhuman strength were they able to destroy the puppet. And then there are the puppet traps inside Hiruko that one hit from them can be a game finisher.

, Sasori can arguably defeat Konan with Hiruko only; especially since Konan has pretty much no way of crushing it for reasons I mentioned earlier. But even if she somehow was able to get around destroying it, 3rd Kazekage puppet finishes her off.

Konan is strong, but Sasori has too much for her. With that being said, I believe Konan would push Sasori to mid difficulty.

It's hard for them to hurt each other since they both have high defenses, I reckon Sasori could take this with difficulty if he can play it smart with poison gas. He could also try burning her with his flamethrowers, but she has plenty of paper to throw around.

Sasori with a moderate amount of difficulty. While Konan does seem to have good counters to Sasori's arsenal such as iron sand by turning into shreds of paper or not being able to get hit by poisonous blades, poison gas should still be able to kill her. On the other hand, Konan could use her explosives to blow the poison gas away.

The problem is that Konan doesn't have the necessary fire power to overwhelm Sasori and his army of puppets. Iron sand makes all of her attacks useless. Also his puppet collection is quite durable and Sasori can reattach any puppets that get partially destroyed. Eventually Konan will run out of chakra or get poisoned.

I assumed she doesn't have prep time but if she did, Sasori probably can't win but I wouldn't underestimate iron sand's ability to give Sasori flight.
