The one thing you seem to be forgetting about Sasori switching bodies, is that, sadly he would lose his ability to use anything he had on him (the 3rd's scroll, fire, water) and would be in a completely new body that can't preform Sasori's secret Red move: performance of 100 puppets. Otherwise I say Sasori has a fighting Chance, against both of them.

When he switches bodies everything he had before stays with him. He changes the new puppet into his real self (sasori)

Highly doubt that.. when he switched bodies against sakura, all his scrolls stayed with the original altered puppet.. His armored enhancements, and contraptions to hold the scrolls were not present on the switched body

Funny how i stated that he doesn't need to release susano'o then i further stated that he doesn't even need to use his ms for most of the fight :| Sharingan precognition alone is enough to read sasori's hand movements and the puppet movements and predict every single attack :| Susano'o tanks any devastating attack, i.e 1-2 IS attacks. Amaterasu burns sasori's real heart. I was just stating trying to state to someone who was trying to state that itachi had to release susano'o to even move. You lost all credibility when you assumed;
a) Itachi dies after 5 seconds in susano'o
b) Kazekage puppet and sasori for that matter would last 5 seconds of susano'o

Probably a good thing itachi doesn't need to use his MS much for this fight, and quick possibly not at all since he can kill sasori right out of hiruko before he can get a chance to do a thing :|

Raikage was able to use the body flicker to leave an after image just as sasuke used the technique. Sasori has neither the speed not precognition to do so.

To the OP,

Itachi knows better than to spam MS, besides that the pre-cog from base 3 tome would be more than enough when combined with his superior speed, intelligence and jutsu. Should he need to activate MS unlike Sasuke Itachi has the good sense to not recklessly spam. And this Iron Sand of his, when has he shown the same control over it that say Gaara has? Its not the same, Sasori doesn't have the same reaction time plus if the Kazekage puppet is destroyed (which would not be a difficult feat for Itachi) then its a moot point.

His puppet dance is taken care of with Yatta and Magatama and or gets destroyed with totsuka blade, Katon, exploding clones or just good ol' taijutsu. leaving him at best with his 1 body, an easy target for Amaterasu.

Itachi takes this mid difficulty.
