I think it's illogical to place Hinata in any vs. thread. She has not had a single focused battle since like part 1. The absolute truth is until the manga shows what she can do in a battle that pushes her limits, such as a 1v1 with a person of significance, we cannot judge. Everyone has to judge her based on her fight with Neji in the beginning of the series and the feats she has done to the irrelevant enemies during the war and juubi arc (which aren't a good measure of her strength because it is unfocused). To judge the unknown just isn't practical. Oh I forgot about the short attempt to protect Naruto against perhaps one of the strongest characters in the series, but that result should have been expected.
