Sasori's moves mainly consist of surprise attacks, revolving around scratching. With Gaara's automatic defense, I can't see him getting scratched by the poisonous senbon.

I'm undecided on this one though, can Gaara's sand counter Iron Sand? IMO Iron Sand is stronger, but Idk too much about it

Gaara's sand is weaker than Iron sand, since IS is denser and heavier. Altough IS lacks the large scale attacks, and the attacks that come at surprise like Gaara's. Gaara also has much more mobility with his sand, and can manoeuvre it in a more advanced way than Sasori can.

Iron sand can be stronger but it does not mean much when his opponent has masses at his side.

It will be like a man with a gun and 5 bullets against 20 men with swords. A more powerful weapon can be overcame with a crowd; the amount of sand Gaara canonically used dwarfs iron sand anyway.

İron sand is stronger if we have got equal amount of both sands, but Gaara has masses on his side.

I think Gaara takes this mid-high diff. His sand was crushing human bones when he was a kid, a massive scale desert funeral he attempted to defeat Kimimaro would be a mass slaughter for Sasori's puppets. Projectiles and weaponary therfore poisin scratching is useless for obvious reasons. İron sand would be countered by masses of sand and Gaara's ability to manevour his sand more proficiently. Plus half of his sand saved him from 5 susanoo blades.

So I think Gaara could guard himself from Sasori's strongest attack.

Also, I think Gaara could counter Sasori's puppets (All of them) like Sasori himself did here:

By clogging their joints with his sand.. Gaara's always been really intelligent with his sand, and his brother's a puppet master. I'm sure he'd know, or at least figure out, to do something like that.

Gaara takes this, he's a tough match up for Sasori.

Doesnt Iron Samd have the ability to create sand in.it's favor? Also, i think Iron Sand would make normal sand useless, as weve seen Iron Sand clogs objects. Chiyo was unable to use her wooden arm

sasori needs to get out third kazekage as soon as possible. his senbon and poison isnt doing jack to gaara.
100 puppets ca be curshed under a sand tsunami fairly easily.
it comes down to iron sand vs sand and i think gaara will just clog up the puppet's joints and oneshot sasori
