[Discussion] Sasori remains the best in the Sand Village?

Here's what we know so far:

1. Sasori defeated the 3rd Kazekage and controls him as a puppet.
2. 3rd Kazekage was the strongest Kage the sand village ever had and it can be considered a fact up until the last 100 chapters at least. Some of you might say that Gaara might have surpassed the 3rd, but here's my take on that:

a. 3rd Kazekage was older than Gaara so he had a lot of experience.
b. 3rd Kazekage was also smarter than Gaara because he was able to create his own (stronger) version of Shukaku's power. This was named the Iron Sand.
c. I will use my assumption on this one and say Iron Sand > Gaara's Sand.

From (1) and (2 -a,b,c-) and chapters from the manga, I've deduced that Sasori would have stronger jutsus (and sand) than Gaara, he would be smarter than Gaara (was able to outsmart the 3rd) and has more experience than Gaara. Also Gaara is pretty much a sitting duck and the sand does all the work for him, which isn't good news when fighting Sasori, who also has the poison cloud, 100 extra puppets and just 1 weak spot.

As a conclusion to this thread, I would say that Sasori is still the best shinobi in the sand village.

yes that could be true but i think a lot of people are going to say gaara is because they just like him.

that one weak spot will get him killed he most likly got the thrid by surpise he killed him BEFORE LEAVEING the village so its assumed he did it fast meaning surpise attack or people would have seen the fight and came running

That's the main reason why I started this thread. I like Gaara and I think he's a good shinobi, but I strongly believe that Sasori is better in every aspect.

then how could the sand not ave known of his capture if there was a fight it would have been heard or seen the sand would have known right away

deidara beat gaara. deidara himself said that sasori is probably stronger. so sasori>deidara>gaara. and dont give me any crap about the latest manga chapters and say that that means gaara is stronger than deidara now, nothing proves that.

It was stated that he was kidnapped.

So you have these scenarios:

1. He was somehow put to sleep and then woke up by the time Sasori dragged him out of the village.
2. He was on a mission and Sasori ambushed him.
3. Sasori used a bait to get the kazekage out of the village on his own.

No reason to act all smart-ass without proper facts. Kankuro suprassed and edo tensei version of Sasori, which is weaker (any edo tensei seemed weaker than its actual shinobi. Also, Sasori didn't have any of the puppets that actually made him strong. He was basically human Sasori without any weapons...

Both Gaara and Sasori are long ranged specialists and I see you're points but since I'm about to leave I'm not really going to put up much of a post. I just want to say, if Sasori is the strongest in the Sand, that's a let down from Suna. Sasori was one of the weakest members of Akatsuki (In my judgement). I'll be back on in a couple of hours maybe if anybody want's to discuss anything about my statement.U_U

Depending on the situation, he will leave if he must. Do I need to give anymore example or would this was be enough proof of a "situation" in which a kage can leave a village?

I always regarded Sasori as one of the strongest Akatsuki out there. It goes like this for me

First 3 are obvious
Sasori
Kakuzu
Deidara
Kisame
Hidan

Haven't put Oro/Konan/Zetsu up there since it's not important.

Basically, your entire post is build on assumptions.You're using abc logic which proves northing.Just because sasori beat the third doesn't mean he could beat the rest..quite simple..

-The third could have been drugged up while he was taken away, but a strong kage fights back drugged or not hence the struggle.

-Kankuro did surpass sasori.Edo zombie or not.Kishi even made it clear last week that they have the same power levels.

-You have no way of knowing if gaara is dumber than the third

-The young surpasses the old, so the experiance thing proves nothing unless we see some prove.

- Every thing indicates (especially the last couple of weeks) Gaara surpassed not only his dad but the rest of them.People see him as their hero and savior and Gaara possesses the shukaku's powers without it being inside of him.

It's really simple even the guy who wrote the manga stated that Sasori defeated the strongest Kazekage ever from the sand.

This would make him the strongest currently until stated otherwise.

Everything else is just speculation.

he's not acting like a smart-ass just stating his opinion. And I agree Kankura HAS Sasori's puppet with all it's crazy ability, plus he's the leader of the ambush position, and out puppeteer ed Sasori as an edo tensei (he was better plain and simple). And Gaara > Kakuro. So yeah I think Kankuro, or even Gaara are stronger than Sasori at this point.

Key word is could.I am simply stating that nothing is given, and we can only make assumptions.It make sense that the guy who is famous for his poison gave the third kazekage something bad.This way sasori avoids the noise/panic and he gets to take him away.Something goes wrong(perhaps a strong will power) and the kage is somewhat able to fight back hence the struggle.

A younger chiyo was probably also better than sasori.She and sakura did beat him, and that says a lot.
