Sasori had one of the longest battle times in the anime (8 full episodes), giving him roughly about 3 hours of battle screen-time.
Sasori wished to fight Monzaemon Chikamatsu. Monzaemon Chikamatsu is based off of a famous Japanese playwright with the same name, widely regarded as the greatest playwright in Japanese history.
After learning the art of puppetry, Sasori created puppets(art) with their likeness, in the hopes that doing so would help him feel loved.
I think their are alot of hidden messages about kishi in the story of sasori, maybe even the story about sasori's parents are a reference to his own life, no disrespect intended kishi...
