sasori is underrated

Hmm, I have a theory that it's because he fought Sakura. Everything she touches seems to turn to fail.

Sasori was strong, but pitting him against Sakura (even with old lady medical legend controlling her and dying) makes Sasori somewhat anti-climactic. Also he didn't feature in the story for long which is possibly why he's so underrated.

300 other human puppets besides the third kazekage, red secret technique, not to mention pretty much every attack is ladent with enough poison to gank an elephant

Nah, Itachi could read the poison knife movements + avoid easily, and could probably blow away the poison mist with some fireballs.

I'd say Itachi vs Sasori is around 70/30

Pain's are all dead bodies and are not controlled through CNS so it's arguable to as whether or not they would be affected at all by the poison.

If not, I'd say Pain 90 Sasori 10

But yeah, Sasori is majorly underrated by the majority of people

i think shino can beat sasori, i am a sasori fan, but just like what happened to kankuro, shino can just put bugs on all of his puppets and sasori himself and they wouldnt be able to move, but the only way he can beat him is with sasoris body himself he can use the thing on sasoris stomach to hit him if he dodge it then the rope will pull him to shino so sasori uses the things on his back, these twoo can be jamed by bugs...
