He doesn't have BS power trowing nukes everywhere but he will still one shot you with a little sting, i know he became low tier as the manga progressed but look in to his back story its well written, for those who grew up with out the love of a parent or both parents it really touches you, how he would eventually become an emotionless sociopath (life of crime) its something that ive regularly seen happen and it really touches me.

He doesn't even have development though. He had like 10 chapters.

I think that's a bit of an insult to characters like Sasuke, Obito and Chouji (the best developed IMO)

I think he's one of the best. In my opinion, I think Gaara is the best written, but Sasori's story is one of my favorites too.

I think he is one of the best written characters; Btw paneltime does not equate how well written a character is; look at Sakura or Hinata, that got more paneltime than Sasori yet their depth and characterization can't even compare.

True- in concept and design Sasori is a very good villain but the only time i'd actually call him a well-written character would be the Chiyo flashback...and that was War Filler.

It's all about development for me.

I dunno. His whole backstory felt like deja vu. He's not the only character to have lost parents. Aside from that fact, he seems to have had a pretty easy childhood (unlike a certain other redhead...you know who I'm talking about). At least he had a loving grandma who took good care of him. Also, the circumstances behind his parents death was never really elaborated on so I don't see any believable reason for him turning evil. If he turned evil out of vengeance because he lost his parents, then I'm sorry, but that's a pretty cliche motivation if you ask me. Not saying he's a bad character, but I've seen better written back stories.

Nah, in my opinion Deidara is better written. His ideals of art and the lengths he was willing to go to protect them (literally kill someone) was much deeper.
