Sasori = Gaara in a desert
Over my time on the Versus section, I have seen that people tend to underestimate Sasori because they imply that he has a small amount of Satetsu. That's also the main reason why he is underestimate in Sasori vs. Gaara threads. What I would like to say is that Sasori can expand his amount of Satetsu whenever he wants and make himself basically an advanced Gaara in the desert. To explain how I came to this conclusion, first off let's look at the amount of Satetsu that came out of the Sandaime Kazekage's mouths.
When we look at the amount of Satetsu, we can come to a conclusion that the amount of Satetsu present there isn't even bigger than the Sandaime Kazekage Puppet. Looking at an another manga page, we can see that it was barely as big as Sasori himself. [
Even people like Naruto are taller than him. Since the Satetsu that came out of the Kazekage's isn't really any bigger than him, it means that it shouldn't have been able to create some huge Satetsu stuff. The biggest Satetsu attack that amount of Satetsu could have created is Satetsu Shigure. [
The Satetsu Triangle, Rectangle and Wings now all happen to be bigger than the Sandaime Kazekage Puppet itself while previously when the Satetsu came out of the Kazekage's mouths, the Satetsu wasn't even as big as the puppet and it barely was as big as Sasori himself. This means that Sasori indeed did expand the amount of his Satetsu via Magnetic Fields of the Sandaime Kazekage Puppet. And that's not all. What happened when Sasori decided to end the battle, he used Satetsu Kaihou which was basically able to cover the whole cave except some parts. [
And of course, I'm not done. Furthermore, to completely back up my claims, let's look at the Satetsu that came out of the Sandaime Kazekage's mouths again. [
A wave of Satetsu falling down and when we compare it to the amount of Satetsu that came out of the Sandaime's mouths, you'll see that there is a lot more Satetsu now since that whole wave could basically envelope Sakura. And furthermore, when we look at the Satetsu once it has fallen down on the ground and compare it to Chiyo and Sakura, we could basically see a lake of Satetsu in which they could even take a bathe in.
Conclusion and clearing up some misconceptions:

] so what happened here extacly. How did Sasori get an amount of Satetsu that could cover almost the whole cave? Simple. He expanded the amount of Satetsu again.

And of course, I'm not done. Furthermore, to completely back up my claims, let's look at the Satetsu that came out of the Sandaime Kazekage's mouths again. [

] And then let's look at what happened once the Sandaime Kazekage was destroyed. All of the Satetsu that was used for Satetsu Kaihou started turning into normal Iron Sand again. [

] Where did all of this Iron Sand come from when Sasori didn't have this much when it first came out which means that it should be fairly obvious that Sasori generates and expands more Satetsu via the Sandaime's Magnetic Field.

] or call it Satetsu Tsunami if you wish, and etc. Some may say that it takes time for Sasori to do things like these and that the Satetsu won't contain poison after he does this, but this isn't true. Sasori can make Satetsu faster whenever he wants [

] so it doesn't take that much time and it will still contain poison as seen when Sasori expanded the amount of his Satetsu and then poisoned Sakura with that Satetsu. [

Sasori's Immunity to Genjutsu | Exploit #2:
Immunity to Genjutsu
In all honesty, I fail to see how this is still being debated, but I've seen people claim that Sasori is not immune to Genjutsu despite the fact that he is a Human Puppet. [
Let me explain a bit more. In Naruto, thoughts and those stuff seem to be part of your "Mental Energy". If you read the Databook article for Mind Body Transfer, you would see that Yamanaka force all of their Mental Energy into the other person, thus their body drops unconcious. If you realise, Ino can now think in the other persons body? Sasori can still think, because he HAS a piece of flesh, which contains both Physical Energy + Mental Energy. Both needed to create Chakra. In your entire body there is Physical Energy and Spiritual/Mental energy, and when you merge the both, you make Chakra. [
With that said skin and all human organs have sense receptors so by having that little piece of human remains atleast one sense can be manipulated. However Genjutsu doesn't just affect senses. It affects Chakra in the cranial nerves to be EXACT. It is the cranial nerves in the brain that controls most the senses.
For eg the Olfactory controls your sense of smell. <-- A sense that sasori has no longer. A Genjutsu user controls those cranial nerves, and could make you do what he wished. If he wanted you to see Red clouds and a Red moon, He would target the Optic nerves in the interbrain to make you see Red clouds and a Red moon.
Those are just about the only almost unexplainable things, but it simply has to do with the fact that it's a fiction story. Where someone can make themselves into a puppet, and someone has blue skin and looks like a shark. We can't really make sense of any of it, but what is clear is how Genjtusu works. However, if people wish it could be explained how Sasori retained the ability to see and hear despite having only a heart.
In reality, it shouldn't even be debatable since Sasori himself already stated that he only has a heart and no brain, and not to mention that the Databook itself stated that Sasori can no longer be conisdered Human. [

It basically causes you to hear, sense, see and maybe even taste what the caster of the Genjutsu wishes you to.
