Sasori has the strongest weapon in the history of the hidden sand, he has also made it part of his collection(poison.) sasori can take on several enemies at once. He defeated an entire village at once. And killer bs hachibis is the real biju. Sasori can poison any one that gets scratched by his offenses or even breathes on his poison. The 3rd raikage can not defeat the 3rd raikage puppet, which isn't the only high leveled puppet sasori has in his collection.Sasori defeated an entire NATION, which only 2 other akatsuki members ever did being his former partner in orochimaru, and the akatsuki leader in nagato.

3. About S, the 3rd Raikage... there is something about S's body that just doesn't feel right. He was so hard that a bijuu couldn't break his body and Temari's wind barely scratched him. Therefore Sasori cannot poison him with blades or spikes. For the same reason, Sasori's specialty (hidden contraptions) are more or less ALL uneffective. He could poison him still, with a gas cloud, assuming the 3rd Raikage is falling into it. Essentially, Sasori needs to defuse his Lightning Style: Armor jutsu or the Raikage is just too fast to dodge, counterattack and assault, not to mention roast him with Black Lightning. I don't know if magnetic Style can defuse lightning and, if it cannot, Sasori should have another puppet with Wind Style or so, defuse Lightning Style: Armor, stop the Raikage someway, poison it with gas cloud. Another way would be using a mass Iron Sand strike to make the Raikage hit himself, assuming Sasori gets the idea before being electrocuted or smashed. All in all, it's a very difficult matchup for Sasori, I wouldn't put my money on him. You can see all the way he has to win are difficult and convoluted.
   
   
   
   
4. The "Sasori took down a nation" argument doesn't count. He destroyed a nation, not a ninja village. Big difference. Still impressive for sure, but solo-ing a ninja village is another story. Surprise attacks are more or less the only way to solo a ninja village, period. And if we speak fo the Cloud village, which is one of the two strongest military powers among the nations, the answer is just no.

You obviously dont read the manga.. The only thing that Beat 3rd Raikage was his own hellbringer technique Only thing that came close to getting pass his armor was Rasenshuriken an S-rank destruction jutsu and he tanked that.... I seriously doubt Sasori has a jutsu strong enough to break 3rd raikage raiton armor or his body

Sorry Hidden Sand village is in the Land of the Wind and from what we saw they don't have many ninja to brag about besides Gaara....

His body is like steel and his blood is like iron'..... Jirayas hair, when hardened, is like steel, and kakazus IRON skin is comparible to that of the 3rd raikages skin. Orochimarus sword of kusanagi can out match diamond,the hardest organic substance on earth, iron is no match for the sword of kusanagi. The 3rd raikages lighting armor increases his durability. If he didn't hav that on, he would hav been in trouble.
