So I have seen afew fans and Otakus and many more who tried to theorize if Sasori is a Uzumaki Clan member. I wanted to take a shot a it. So tell me what you think.
The Uzumaki Clan originated from the Whirlpool Village as most do know. Known for their expertise using Fuuinjutsu and noticeably their red hair. The Uzumaki had amazing vitality and were related to the Senju Clan by ancestry. Their skill in Fuuinjutsu had them be excellent Jinchuuriki. Most villages feared their sealing prowess, so the village had to be destroyed as they thought. Surviving clan members were known to have left the country having settled in Konoha, Ame and possibly other countries and villages next door.
So lets get into the hair relations most people sought out.
Sasori is a legendary puppet master from Hidden Sand who left his village approximately 20 years before the start of Naruto. Sasori converted portions of his body into various puppet parts. He used the "hitokugutsu" method to turn people into puppets while still alive, allowing him to use their jutsu even after their "death." Considering the fact he is able to do this, you must have a great knowledge in pulling this off, and alot of chakra to do so. Since his hair is red, it shows that, even explained above. The Uzumaki strided into different villages and started new lives. So Sasori's dad may have been a part of the Uzumaki clan as a survivor or decendent, that shows his red hair below.

Now lets get into Granny Chiyo quickly.
Chiyo-baasama, as she is affectionately known, is a retired Hidden Sand ninja. She and her brother Ebizou served as the legendary "sibling" ninjas of their village, in one of the previous Great Ninja wars. Despite the lack of red hair, she has sealing prowess. This unnamed Fuuinjutsu, attached the Shukaku Ichibi to Gaara before birth by order of his dad, The 4th Kazekage. Shukaku was also attached to two others before Gaara by Chiyo, presumably using the same technique. To attach the demon, the technique must bring the two beings into synch, both bijuu and human. During the attachment, Gaara's mother Karura lost her life. Maybe using such a jutsu on a none Uzumaki was deemed to strong? Knowing Granny Chiyo, she must have learned this technique long ago by Gaara's grandparents and so forth. Knowing Gaara, he also has red hair, but we will get into that after. Chiyo learned the sealing techinique from someone at one point, which is unknown. Maybe an Uzumaki perhaps. Also to note, the Fuuinjutsu may have changed over the years to make things easier for the current users.

Gaara may have been the same as Sasori. They may have not be truly close in relations, but they also have similiarities. Noticeably the hair once again. Kishimoto never really stated if Sasori and Gaara where cousins, but concerning The 4th Kazekage's status and state of mind, his family or him could have left the family side of things because watching in the manga/anime. You can see the sand siblings were not close as children. The family was torn apart by choices. So maybe Sasori's family was left behind with no contact with Gaara and family. That is why they never known eachother at all. To note, The 4th Kazekage has a uncanny resemblance to Sasori's dad, so in theory, they may have been brothers or cousins themselves. Gaara, before was a Jinchuuriki. Yes? So maybe his relations of Uzumaki ancestry and vitality kept him alive when he was pre-mature.

Lets get into real Uzumaki heir relations here.
There was truly a whole clan of Uzumaki's squandering the lands and we have only seen a few.

Other than Uzumaki's, there is their ancestors. The Senju Clan.
The Senju Clan had no red hair whatsoever. Genes do change over the years, decades and longer with family trees expanding and creation of clans. That explains why some families and clans do have red hair. Not all families have red hair though of course. Consider Uzumaki, Naruto for example. He is the son of Minato and Uzumaki, Kushina. Naruto does not have red hair because he is half Uzumaki and his dads features were the dominate genes, and somehow he had his moms personality, in mind by Kishimoto for a compelling character. So to point out that, when families are expanding and new clans are being created for the next generation, the red hair would obviously disappear in do time. Combining of clans over the years changed the appearance of older and died out clans. That is why there is rarely any red haired characters running through Naruto. They are dying out.
So again, back to Sasori. Sasori's family inheritance may date back through his dads parents, grandparents and so forth to a full clan such as the Uzumaki Clan. Since branching can happen. Gaara's grandparents and great grandparents may have branched off around the same time. Altogether Uzumaki, Naruto, Gaara, Sasori, characters with the natural red hair or last name Uzumaki, and others that have drifted fully away from the Uzumaki Clan with some sort of blood tie-in, can possibly be in true relation with eachother without them knowing it.
