Kishi controlled the last movie and Sasuke was in it. Albeit a short appearance but the movie had nothing for him to do. Kishi is now controlling this movie as well and it looks to be canon and in the future. Of course Sasuke will have a role.

Well considering this is probably the last Naruto movie, I doubt Kishi would not add the second main character. This is also canon so I'm 95% positive he will be in it.
