yes they have the same affinity but that is not the sole reason or she would of mentioned that.He was the hokage and respected by all that is why she named him after sarutobi not because he can perform katon justu.The majority of the leaf specialize in katon.

Also the only one capable non- uchiha was Kakashi. Uchiha even don't need to learn techs for years unlike Sarutobi's clan. They just can copy it.

Sarutobi clan has no rights at that jutsu which they can't perform as it has to be.

Itachi planed everything. So the excuse that the 3rd Hokage protected Sasuke is invalid.

As much as it seems Sarutobi has respect to the uchiha clan, they should stop copying their jutsu.

You seem to be under the impression that Katon jutsus are somehow "owned" by the Uchiha and that other shinobi clans that use them should be taken to court or something ... 0_o

I only repeated what the Op was suggesting that Sarutobi Sasuke may have been a strong fire based jutsu user > why Mikoto named her son after him hoping for him to also become a strong fire based jutsu user.

It's not stated that you have to be an Uchiha to be the best or even be able to do Fire element Jutsu.....

However, i believe you guys are over thinking this is a little to much. It's an interesting theory and it's plausible considering the Sarutobi clan and a very powerful and respected clan.

They could of just liked the name Sasuke, they might have looked up with the man just like Minato looked up to jiriaya and picked the name Naruto from his Book.

Nah my point is that their clan should use katon not like Uchiha. It's embarrassing to see them using katon like uchiha.

Now go back and search for the manga pages where's said that "you can noticed that it's uchiha member when they use the giant fire ball jutsu".

Did I said I'm mad? Actually I was a bit angry when I saw the manga in the morning. That's it.

For one more time. I have nothing against them. If they want to perform katon DO IT, but not like the Uchiha. Show something creative, instead of doing it like uchiha which are known to use katon like that.

It is supposed to be their unique katon style.

I wasn't insulting you, I was pointing out that your arguments made no sense.

That said, I don't get why you think the Sarutobi clan using Katon is somehow an embarrassment to the Uchiha clan - there's no connection there :|
