Sarutobi has summoned enma prior to the fight. Danzou has summoned baku prior to the fight

As long as Hiruzen and Danzo have information on Pain's abilities it doesn't matter if they don't know which one has which power. They'd figure it out easily...

Hiruzen and Danzo would win.

Sarutobi and Danzo are very intelligent ninja and extremely talented if they were both in their prime I believe that would defeat Pain quite easily. But in their old age that I believe that would maybe defeat a few of the Pain's but would be defeated in the end.
