There are only three possibilities concerning the developments in this chapter:
1) Sasuke and Karin had a kid. Karin died. Sasuke dumped the kid on Sakura and put her under genjutsu so that she'll raise Sarada. Although Sakura might be crazy enough to do it anyway.
2) Sasuke returned to the village and banged Sakura. She got pregnant. Sasuke left. Why did Sasuke leave? He broke the cardinal rule. Never stick yo **** in crazy. OR. He realized that girls are icky and left in search of his heterosexuality, which much like unicorns and polite French-Canadians, doesn't exist.
3) The whole mother issue is a red herring created by Kishi in order to create a terrible plot where Sarada runs away only to be saved by Sasuke and later Sakura, proving that her parents love her. And we all grow as humans with an increased capacity for love. It's beautiful dammit
