If you were speaking generally about the MC rule which I don't know where you got, My Hero Academia already debunks it. Midoriya lost, and despite him no longer participating the Tournament still continued. And I would firmly say that his fight with Shoto developed both characters a lot more than the final fight ever did for the characters involved. So Boruto could still be removed from the CE and he could still have more development than if he stayed in if the writers were savvy about it. Him needing more development has nothing to do with the writer's sub-par writing and inconsideration of another character that they had previously favored (Shikadai). This only means their first execution was poor in retrospect, and this is a necessary make-up for the relatively poor execution of the original event.

And I'm saying that if theu wanted to continue with the exam they couldve done so without cheating Shikidai of his victory. Disqualify Boruto and then after the exams humilate him in front of 5 great nations and hey Momo would appear. That wouldn't have affect the chunin exams or cheat Shikidai of his victory. Since the plot demands he still be in the arena he would be. I can see many things, can't you?

I expected the answer to the queation not a deflection, in the extended gif Hinata faints after that poke why cut it? Oh and Urushiki didn't call her queen or princess only that woman with the Byakugan not that it's relevant. It still doesn't make Hinata relevant past housewife since his statement is about Boruto.

Shinki's Iron Sand use is more like Gaara's sand use and is a farcry from what Sasori used through Puppet Kage. If you punch this sand, it'll probably just backfire on the puncher, the same way Gaara's sand does.

I imagine this is the fight where Naruto will notice the Kote device. This isn't the CE we expected, but it's the one we deserved.

They managed to retcon the CE so it would be longer than it initially was, for apparently no other reason than for Boruto to proceed to the finals and have a chance at showcasing more of his already expentiated abilities. If they could go out of their way to make significance changes that undermine another character in the event of benefiting another, than they could comprise something, in that sacrifice. And I don't know what they could do, there's plenty of options to explore, in addition to Boruto uninvitedly joining the final fight, just before Momoshiki enters the arena. They can just put him there for all I care, or retcon that as well, since they could retcon such a popular moment as Shikadai making Boruto use his ace in the hole.

Have you wondered how the change should affect Shikadai, how demeaning it is for the event that boosted his potential? Now it'll practically poof into nothing, all because Boruto. Who already has an accolade enough for the genius title to sink in for all of us who may have not been accepting when it came to it. More display, will be excessive than what we've already got of him. Others deserve a chance even if they don't have the title, they've got their own quirks to explore.
