I don't know if this was already mentioned by someone or not but, if you notice in 708 Sarada doesn't receive her glasses (the ones that look like karins) until after the page where she is shown sick laying in the bed, we'll I have a theory Sarada may have caught the same type of sickness it itachi had (she seemed very sick) so maybe since Karen is like experimented on or something Idk and she came to help Sarada since sakura helped her when sasuke stabbed her... through the chest, and possibly some type of da transplant may have happened and that's why Sarada may have some of Karins dna.

Just a thought...

Gaiden is supposed to be one volume, but it could be up to 15 chapters.

Karin is irrelevant. I'm just saying Sarada could have ended up requiring corrective lenses just from being sick. BTW having tissue spliced into your body, that tissue contributes no DNA whatsoever to offspring.

I don't think it's a disease though, imo her chakra is too strong for her body so as a result it corrodes like somebody under the influence of Senjutsu. The chakra of Sasuke after he awakened MS was comparable to Level 2 Curse Mark, implying it can also corrodes the body like NE.

Rikudou chakra is meant to have Senjutsu in it and Sasuke passed down diluted version of his to his child, so it's likely that Karin provided her DNA to counter the effect because Sakura's body was too weak to depend on.
