That part in bold is just lame man. When has ANY Shonen Manga NOT have rivals. They are ALL heavily based on the hero and his/her rival.
and I stated, above. I don't know if it's comfirmed but their might be 3 Boruto movies. That's enough time to give her offscreen development.
Bro...
All the movie information have said that Boruto/Sarada quarrel. Meaning they have verbatim arguments, they don't/won't fight like rivals. Because they aren't. It's not a sexist thing either if someone is going to get on me later, it's just the truth
Sarada/Boruto are actually friends, what drives this word conflict is the fact that Sarada (wants to be the Hokage/respects Naruto) and Boruto (hates the Hokage's/doesn't respect Naruto).
Put 2 in a same room and of course they will argue. But look at this movie information:
"She's a kunoichi who's on the same team as Boruto, and also the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura. Since she admires Naruto, she dreams of becoming the Hokage. That's why she is a hard-worker who steadily tries to step-up (/ make progress) as a shinobi. On one hand, she seems to resemble her mother with her characteristic strong-minded and firm vocal tone. With that trait, she quarrels with Boruto at every little opportunity."
(Movie website information)
"Sasuke and Sakura’s daughter, and she has already awakened her sharingan. She deeply admires Naruto."
These two don't dislike each other like Naruto/Sasuke, they dislike their opinions. Plus, even in the end this boy fights Shikidai and in the chunin poster the Kumogakure kid challenges Boruto which makes him his rival depending on Boruto's response/action (As in both of them competing against each other to reach the goal first for instance). That makes him a rival, does it not
II. No, that isn't even a rumor to begin with. There is only ONE Boruto movie in production. There aren't any future works listed.
