I have been hearing a common misconception lately where people keep saying that Sarada only has about a 1 in a million chance of getting sharingan. Some think it is because "she probably won't experience any painful losses". Others think it is because she is only half Uchiha. Then some are just sexist and think Sarada will be fodder because she is a girl (I'll ignore this one though). Now let me clear some things up:
Argument #1: "She needs the pain of loss to awaken it"
This argument is wrong. You guys are thinking of the mangekyou sharingan. Just look at Obito. He awakened sharingan just after seeing Kakashi's eye get cut. Kakashi wasn't dead. Rin wasn't dead yet either, nor did Obito think that either of them were. Therefore, he didn't lose anything when he awakened it.
The people who make this argument bring up how Sasuke awakened it after seeing Itachi kill the clan in the tsukuyomi. They then use this event as grounds to claim that they need the pain of loss. What they don't realize is this fact: That was just Sasuke's case. What about other Uchihas? Think about Uchihas like Fugaku or Shisui or Kagami, etc... Do you really think that each and every Uchiha that ever had sharingan awakened it due to loss? No! I have already given an example for that matter (Obito), of someone who has awakened it without someone dying. It is more than likely that many Uchihas have simply awakened it in battle as Obito did. Even Sasuke advanced his tomoe stage to 3 tomoes in his 1st valley of end battle with Naruto (in which nobody died, which directly contradicts Tobirama's explanation of Uchihas having to lose love in order to power up their eyes).
As for Tobirama's explanation of the "losing love" thing, manga events have clearly shown that this is either not 100% accurate (either that or the previous events were just retconned).
Finally, she is in the academy to become a shinobi after all! Therefore, she is likely to do battle at some point! Therefore, she does in fact have a chance at awakening it normally in battle just like any other Uchiha.
Argument #2: "She is just half Uchiha."
Technically every Uchiha after Indra is of diluted blood. This is because Indra was the first Uchiha-like person (despite his surname being Ootsutsuki). Therefore, there would have been no Uchiha females for Indra to mate with. Therefore, right from the get go, Indra's child would be of diluted Uchiha blood. That blood would continue to dilute more and more as time went on. Therefore even Sasuke is not technically 100% Uchiha. Yet, the inheritance of Uchiha power still persisted through the centuries. Clearly, the diluted blood is virtually irrelevant with regards to this matter.
Also, we technically have no evidence that Sasuke's mom was an Uchiha by blood. Black hair doesn't prove a thing. Konohamaru has black hair. We have never seen Mikoto wield a sharingan or even use a fire style (the Uchiha's signature jutsu). We know of no law within the clan or within Konoha that says that the Uchihas have to inbreed. In fact, Hinata's marriage with a non-Hyuuga would indicate that inbreeding is not necessarily required in clans.
In short, every Uchiha's blood is significantly diluted, yet it doesn't really affect them. Therefore, it shouldn't really affect Sarada.
Argument #3: "Only a handful of Uchihas awaken it"
My response: You act as if Sarada absolutely can not be apart of that handful.
Final Summary: Sarada has just as much chance as any normal Uchiha to awaken the sharingan. I am not saying that it is guaranteed. I am not even saying that it is a high chance. I am just saying that you people are wrong who keep saying how so unlikely it is as if Sarada has so much less potential to awaken it than any other Uchiha.
