Honestly? Will Sarada get the awesome treatment she deserves as Sasuke's daughter and a born prodigy? Ofc not.

Does this manga have a history of good representation and treatment of it's kunoichi? Nope.

Does this mangaka want to ruin her by changing her design and character? Yeah.

What gets me is that nobody on the base is even rooting for the poor girl. She has the most potential for strength and badassery of the new gen and is being railed on by the shallow Uchiha base when she's your successor and possibly one of the cooler and level-headed characters yet.

Only the 2 female protagonists suffer this really, being accompaniments to other male characters. Shippuden had little place for femininity in it's key themes (being about a brotherly bond through the ages) but Kishi has written capable women with development and badassery.

Tsunade is an alcoholic legend at the end of her run, given a final hope to believe in. She leaves instantly without fear after Madara Uchiha drops a meteor on a division, even though it tears her apart.

Ino is a war hero who depth-wise, developed way past Sakura with the death of a sensei and a father. She is among the most useful nin in the War and attacks Obito directly the second she lands in the battlefield.

Temari doesn't have a lot to her but she's a simple hardened badass who took on Madara face-to-face whilst everyone else sh*t their pants or prayed.

Mei brought the Mist out of it's bloody era and whilst maybe minor characters- Chiyo has awesome feats/attacks, Temari doesn't havand Tenten is just super charming. Sarada is on the route of a Young Tsunade/Itachi type character and it should be super promising.

Also I think Sarada is one of the better off characters in the fandom too. She doesn't get bashed as much as Boruto for instance.

This forum isn't really a good representative. If you look at it from a wider spectrum, you'll see she's in good hands in the fandom while people like Bolt, they either really hate him or really like him.

Its really just him tho. Mitsuki, Himawari, Shikidai, and Shinki are fan favorites too.

Some people would consider the Mitsuki story 'Moon' stuff and her distasteful redesign as hints of whats to come. Kishi got quite good at his characterisation in the lategame.

There is no potential romance between sarada and boruto. Kishimoto himself said that they are rivals and he will keep it that way, even if his work is being done by ikemoto-sensei, he has the final say since he is the supervisor. Not to mention, sasuke will be pissed beyond anything. The guy has not even added a son with sakura into the family and you think he will let some guy even if he is his student to come and take his only child bearing his name away from her. Sasuke will go pickachu and raichu altogether on boruto or throw into the desert dimension like kaguya did to him. Don't let his silent nature fool you. Adult shin will testify that he got crushed by sasuke when he try to lay a finger on sakura and sarada.
