What's the difference between Santa Claus and god except what people choose to believe?

You learn about god when your young and your parents force you to go to church every weekend until it's programmed in your brain to believe in God.

It all depends on what u believe actually, some will se they don't exist, some will say they do, it depends from what perspective u look at it .....pretty much xd

Even as an atheist, I don't find this amusing. Santa Claus is a fictional adaption of a real man used to inspire joy in children. God is what some people conceptualize as the reason for existence and morality. While I do not believe in Him, God's non-falsifiability prevents us from disproving Him, and, therefore, it's just as reasonable to believe. This kind of talk is insulting to many peoples' self-identity.

They both sound like fairytales to me. I just think people choose to believe what theywnt to believe no matter how ridiculous it sounds.

I don't believe God is real, but I don't wave that opinion around like an ******* and discredit other people for believing in something I can't disprove.
