C4 decomposes you on a cellular level, futon isn't even working once it katsu's or even before.

And I don't know about others, but Orochimaru himself has at least 2 ways to counter C4.

Well its still electricity, so if she can touch Deidara's bombs ( before they explode ) she can inject her raiton chakra to neutralize them. This is an 'A' rank ninjutsu we are talking about, so we shouldn't underestimate it.

Deidara is not that great... He is just to unfocused in battle, only thinking in his art, and personal issues, so tactics and strategy can be easily be develop agains him, like Sasuke did (Tsunade is smarter than Sasuke, Databook 3).
Besides his technique is just too slow, because all of them demand molding clay, and without preparation before a fight he is screwed... Without to mention that Deidara has Tobi's help during his fight with the Uchiha, he set the mines in the field...

If you let me remind you, Diedara was defeated by Kankuro and Sai. Yes, I know, he didn't use C3, or C4... but why didn't he
use them? Because in a fight against multiple shinobi molding that amount of clay is a risk that he cannot afford....

So no, I don't think Deidara is that great... Sorry...
