This is a theory, inspired by and comprised by multiple sources, including Alpha2late17 (youtube), Knaal from OroJackson and anonymous sources
To begin we need to look at what level Sanji will achieve and who he is likely to fight in future, two of his last few opponents will be Borsalino and Burgess, and based upon the following observations it's quite easy to guess and theorize about his future powers
Things to consider first:
-Sanji is the third strongest Strawhat
-He always fights the third strongest opponent in an arc
-He often fights close combat fighters
-Some opponents of his foreshadow his future powers, in particular, Jyabura (Sky walk) and Pearl (Lighting himself on fire)
Borsalino:
-In comparison to the other known admirals, Borsalino is the third strongest, as Sakazuki has shown far greater feats and through pure logic, Gravity (i.e. Fujitora) is greater than Light (Borsalino), I'm not getting too deep into this, but bare with me
-He is considered the fastest character in One Piece, Sanji is considered the fastest member of the Strawhats
-Both use a lot of kicking attacks, Sanji devotes his "Black Leg style" to just using his legs to fight (or knives in extreme circumstances), likewise, Borsalino has shown to use lasers, plenty of kicking attacks and a sword (in extreme circumstances)
-They are henceforth very similar fighters
-This was also shown in an opening to the anime, which must have some level of truth to it, even if it is just the anime
Burgess:
-Each Strawhats has their parallel Blackbeard Pirate they will later fight, e.g. Blackbeard vs Luffy, Shiliew vs Zoro, Devon vs Nami, Pizalo vs Franky, Burgess is matched up to Sanji
-They are both the only members of their crews to not use weapons unless under extreme circumstances
-Both specialise in close combat, with very few long range attacks and both are brawlers
So what can we gather from this?
Well, firstly, Sanji is going to be able to at least keep up with light by the time he fights Borsalino, and if he is to win he will probably surpass the speed of light
As Burgess seems to be a complete tank, Sanji's flames most probably won't hurt him as much and will therefore require Sanji to use a new power. Burgess's "Surge" techniques can also put out Sanji's fire
Connecting it to the storyline:
Do you remember when Sanji fought Absalom and claimed he wanted the Suke Suke no Mi to become invisible?
Absaloms ability to become invisible foreshadows that Sanji will obtain the ability become invisible, this can be done by achieving speeds faster than light, this heavily links into the fight with Borsalino in future, although invisibility may only be temporary short bursts, it's still a power to be reckoned with
Additional notes:
-Sanji is often called the "invisible member"
-He's evaded Wanted Poster pictures and often disappears or gets separated from the crew, as seen in Dressrosa, Little Garden and Alabasta
Plasma can also be used for stealth of planes as it allows planes to escape radar and be enveloped in a cloud of plasma, becoming hard too see, plasma is an ionized gas and the fourth state of matter, which is effected by electrical currents, as we know, Sanji has fought Enel, further possible foreshadowing
Plasma can reach an unlimited temperature and can't be put out in the same way fire can, thus making it far more powerful and destructive than fire
So basically, Sanji is gon' be an invisible plasma man
