Well, he's being realistic...

And plot is coming into action in the next chapter, because logically it's a dead end for the future King of Pirates.
Even whole SH crew wouldn't have made any significant impact from this point forth..

But the statement, "We have to beat big mom and her crew..." is there... I hope they don't end up defeating BM against all sorts of odds.

Everyone seems to forget about Jimbei and the Sun Pirates, my bet is they'll come to help Luffy.

I think he left because right now sanji is dealing with family affairs vs his friends, he has to choice his biological family ultimately everytime in order to protect his real family. Puddin is his only savoir or a gift from the biological family, meaning his new and only friend left that he can be real with(like his real family). While luffy is thier as the "promise" that he'll no longer live until sanji return.
