A pretty basic technique. Just forms pillars to act as a wall. Small question, as not all sand techniques require you to be in contact, if i was using Desert Suspension just a few meters off the ground, could i make the sand below me rise up and work, or do i need to be in contact?

Channeling his Chakra, Kator manipulates the sand directly in front of him and rises up several pillars. 3 pillars rise up, creating a half cresent protecting him from the in coming barrage.

Also basic, just a clump of sand thats manipulated to shoot senbon. two questions on this one. Similar to above, can i use Desert suspension as a medium for this jutsu, like if im hovering above my opponent, can i launch senbon from that?

Second question, does angle matter? Like do they have to rain directly down, or can i have them fire off at a sharp angle?

Manipulating his Chakra, Katora forms a clump of sand from the ground and raises it up high about the opponent. When the sand clump is almost 100m above the opponent, Katora manipulates the chakra and begins raining down small needles of sand, covering a large area around the opponent, piercing up to mid range with the opponent in the center, making dodging neigh impossible.

Any chance we can skip the "write the move" thing, ive never seen the point of it personally
Yes you can use both of these jutsu while maintaining desert suspension, most sand jutsu you do not need contact with the source to manipulate it. And yes you may fire the needles off at an angle, as long as the cloud is still above the opponent.

We can skip the performance of the technique, but I will expect good analysis of techniques to compensate for this, speed of use, where it originates, etc. Slack off and we will go back to performing the jutsu.

( Sabaku Kyu ) - Sand Binding Coffin
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range:Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user sends a wave of sand at the opponent, which then covers him completely from head to foot in sand, immobilizing him completely.

Manipulate your sand to send a wave at the enemy, cover them in the sand and bind their movements.

( Sabaku Sousou ) - Sand Burial
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user will create a wave of sand that they use to cover their opponent/opponents from head to toe. Once they have done this they will close their hand causing the sand to compact inwards crushing their target.

Similar to the previous jutsu send a wave of sand at the opponent, only this time you will follow up by clenching your hand causing the sand to compact on your target. this will crush and kill them from the pressure.

Pretty simple technique. Manipulate the sand around the opponent and lock them into place. This is 1 half of the combo Gaara used on Lee to bust his legs up. Gara used this while heavily weakened, so it appeared slow, but when he used it in the forest, it was much faster, so this is a quick technique, especially if the opponent is already standing on sand so the sand doesnt have to travel from you to them. It says it sends a wave, but doesnt specify where the wave originates, so as long as the wave somewhat travels towards the opponent, it can originate anywhere from my understanding. No real questions on this one.

Second half of the combo, the part where you crush the opponent. If they are already wrapped in sand, its pretty much instant(as seen against Lee) when the damage hits, theres no real delay in the hit. Pretty sure the two jutsu here can be combo'd, but it seems as though this jutsu does what the above jutsu does but better, so better to just use this jutsu. Also a good jutsu if you can find a way to keep the opponent covered in sand. Question though, technique says head to toe, but Gaara used it just on Lee's arm and leg, does this mean that if i just have sand around my opponents leg, i can crush the leg? Also, with the "techniques have to be made 5m away from the opponent" does this mean that if my opponent is like, ankle deep in sand,i cant just grab that sand thats already around their leg and crush the leg?

Yes you can just crush one limb if you wish, and if they are ankle deep in the sand already you may crush it. That rule only refers to the juts being created 5m away from the opponent, if you already have the source of your jutsu, aka the sand, in place then you don't need to worry about that.

( Suna Raishin ) - Sand Lightning Needles
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: A spray of needles that surround the enemy and when they hit the ground they discharge electricity out at the enemy. This electricity is enough to stun the target for up to one turn.

Form your sand into needles and launch them at the opponent, stream lightning into the needles to cause them to discharge electricity when they land. Be aware this is not true lightning release and is still counted as a sand jutsu.

( Suna Arare no Jutsu ) - Sand Hail Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user gathers his sand into large clumps in the air, compacting them and then drops them from the sky on to his opponents, with enough force to knock an opponent out.

Manipulate your sand so it clumps together in the air above your target, compact them and then release them downwards. This will create a rain of dense sand that impacts the area around the opponent, with enough force to knock them out should they bear the brunt of this attack.

Before i got into the above, i have a quick question. Desert suspension. If my opponent is using a move from below me, and i dont have any sand, am i able to turn the ground at my feet to sand to suspend myself and dodge? And if so, how fast/far can i expect to be able to dodge a move from below?

This is actually kind of cool. Infusing the sand with lightning. I can't really say a whole lot on it, but i do have a question. Would doing this make it neutral to lightning in this regard? Also, it says surrounds, so im guessing i don't need to make this short range of me to infuse it? I can make it mid range and infuse it from a distance? Aside from those two questions, its a really just another needle based technique, so it has the same applications and the rest, mainly hitting from multiple angles or spreading out over a large surface area to minimize dodging ability.

So let me get this right, you're essentially making super heavy rain drops that can knock someone out cold upon impact? Cause thats kinda cool. Can this technique remain active for a few turns, or is it just the turn activated? Also, im guessing desert suspension can supplement the sand needed for this technique? Has a few cool uses, mainly if you lock the opponent down with a seperate jutsu, and then rain this down, they need to pick which to counter, even though Nagashi can technically stop dual B ranks(at my rank) but moving up to S ranks, even this B rank can be pretty strong. Also a good jutsu to use on people who are hiding, like hayabusa, for example, cause they will have to break any stealth they using to counter. I like it.

I believe I answered your first questions in our VMs, as for the sand lightning needle no its still a Sand jutsu so it would remain weak to lightning, yes you can create these needles and infuse them with lightning from a distance. Next techniques.

(Sunaarashi no Jutsu) - Sandstorm Technique
Type: Offensive/Supplementary/Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will perform the ram hand seal and then manipulate his sand to begin spinning around him creating a defensive barrier that can repel certain incoming attacks such as ninja projectiles, or taijutsu based moves.

This is a fairly simple whirlwind of sand surrounding you that you can use to repel weak attacks, although it covers all of the area short range around you it is farily weak.

( Suna Tainai no Jutsu ) - Sand Body Technique
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20 ( - 10 per turn )
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user turns his own body into sand, or simply parts of it. While in sand form, he can cross long distances by soaring as a sandstorm. In this form, he is also invulnerable to attacks based on strengths and weaknesses of Sand. However, he is unable to attack during this form.

One of the cooler jutsu in sand, turn your body into sand and become immune to physical attacks, based on the strengths and weaknesses of Sand.
