Samurai (侍) are the guardians and military power of the Land of Iron. Little is known about them, although Ōnoki indicates that any shinobi would be foolish to challenge the military of the Land of Iron. Their general is Mifune. The Land of Iron is the only known power in the modern world that continues to use samurai, as Hanzō alluded to that in the past, even in his time they were being used less and less, being replaced by ninja, ninjutsu, and ninja villages. They are usually seen adorned in heavy, segmented plate-armor that covers their shoulders, chest, upper back, lower sides, and thighs. They also usually wear gauntlets, shin guards, helmets, and face masks that are designed to act like respirators to combat poison regularly used by shinobi and to communicate using inbuilt radios. Senior officers having short horns atop of their helmets to identify themselves. Like real samurai, they are armed with swords but the scabbards of these are instead mounted directly onto their faulds. However, the number of blades worn by a single warrior is also unusual, going as high as four, in spite of the fact that they have never been observed using more than two at a time in combat, which could probably mean they are kept as spares in case they break in the heat of battle.

- The Samurai Saber Technique, due to its chakra flow ability, is capable of aiding a samurai in fighting against ninjutsu techniques equal to that of the samurai saber and thus helps them effectively fight against ninja.
- Iaidō (居合道) is a samurai-skill where the user quick draws the blade extremely fast to strike, then re-sheathing it after every attack, allowing them to interrupt Ninjutsu hand seals.
- Samurai can make use of any of the Modes.. Samurai additionally gain access to Dokkodo techniques without requiring the Mode to be chosen. However, they do not gain access to the Alone Way nor Blinding Light unless they have Dokkodo as their chosen Mode.
- Samurai gain an increase of +1 Bonus BODY and +1 Bonus AGL AP unless they are using Dual Abilities, in which case the ability with the highest AP boosts will apply.
Restrictions:
- A Samurai biography can only use Kenjutsu and Taijutsu + Elemental Kenjutsu. Samurai can also make use of Yang Release.
- A Samurai may have a Mode alongside being a Cyborg, using techniques they reasonably can access. They, however, cannot have a KG/AE/HA.
- Must be at least Chūnin rank and have 5,000 Kumi
