Okays theni shall be instructing you personally on the art of bushido so that you may follow the path and train others for me. we shall start with some basics as always the general basics for samurai is following the way of kendo and its stances. so firstly stand straight towards me with your shoulders parallel to your feet. Then place your right foot slightly forwards whilst shuffling it a few paces and not lifting and at the same time shuffle your left foot backwards.
*shows you each step as instructed and awaits you to do the same*
Kyuzo keeps his feet at shoulder width and places his right foot forward so that his right heal is about parallel to his left foot's toes. Kyuzo also rolls his shoulders back, opening up his chest. He then slides his feet forward against the ground, moving his front foot forward first and then moving his back foot up behind his right foot. Kyuzo does this, shuffling forward a bit and then does the reverse, moving backwards, moving his left, rear foot first to shuffle backwards. Kyuzo repeats this a few times, keeping his back straight.

Good work, this is the basic posture of samurai now clench your fists and to your sides and the outer hand facing downwards. Then take your left hand placing it onto the scabbard at your left side and taking your right to unsheave your katana, whilst taking a vicegrip at a 45 degree angel at the base of the hilt and unsheave the katana. As you bring it fully out the scabbard bring your left hand taking the same grip to the bottom of the hilt and then level the hilt to your belly at about a fist distance away then raise the blade to point at my throat and keep that stance with the same posture maintaining the square posture of having your shoulders parallel like this diagram below:
Kyuzo holds a katana and scabbard at his left hip and pushes on the guard with his thumb, pushing the katana out an inch or so. While doing this, Kyuzo places his right hand onto the hilt and draws the sword out, drawing it forward, out at an invisible opponent. Kyuzo drops the saya to the ground and places his left hand onto the end of the handle. Kyuzo keeps his body loose and holds the tip of the blade so that if an opponent just ran into it then they would stab themselves in the throat.

Good work, now that the basic position has been attained we shall move onto basic attack and defence. For attack i want you to raise your sword above your head keeping it in the center of your body and your right left hand just above your head and then as you bring it down step forward with your right foot first into the attack aiming for this dummies head and then step backwards with your left foot first then bringing your sword back to the same starting position aiming for the neck. this in kendo is known as Men-do
Keeping the same grip, Kyuzo raises his arms into the air above his head while simultaneously sliding his right foot forward. While keeping his back straight, Kyuzo strikes forward with his sword while pulling his left foot up next to the other. Kyuzo stops his strike so that it would stop at the level of the opponent's bridge of his nose. To stop his strike he suddenly tightens his previously gentle grip. After the strike, Kyuzo takes a half step back, lowering the tip of the blade to neck level. He then takes another step back, back into his previous position. Kyuzo repeats this process one thousand times.

Good now for a defence i will use the same attack on you and what i want you to do is bring your sword upwards in the center line of your body and as my sword comes down at you pivot your right hand whilst maintaining your left strong to tap the sword outwards giving you the openining to attack and in that moment bring your sword back centrally and lift up to your head and bring down towards my head but only do the motion without the speed and stop at my head please
*takes the basic stance and brings up my sword and steps forwards into the cut as i bring down my sword slowly*
Kyuzo in his normal kendo stance simply reacts to the strike by sliding back slightly with his left foot and then pulling the right back a bit. At the same time, Kyuzo lifts both his arms up above his head with the right hand slightly right of the center. About halfway up, he moves the tip of the blade to the left, smacking the opponent's blade off center. With control of the center, Kyuzo simply slides forward while dropping his blade down in a strike, stopping just above her head.
Well then lets get down to business as we are only training in the techniques the first technique being.
(Kossetsu Ashige) - Fracture Strike
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will draw their sword and release a pressurised cresent blade of chakra at the target causing them to be hit with a strong force of chakra.(The technique is capable of countering Ninjutsu B rank and below due to the chakra charge)
Note: Can only be used by samurai biographies
Note: Usable only 3 times per battle
For this technique you basically concentrate and channel your chakra into your blade. Then begin to condence the chakra making it more powerful and with the kendo stance Sha no Kame in the diagram above as a means to wield the blade and swing the katana outwards and slashing upwards release the pressurised chakra into the shape of a cresent that is shot at the wooden dummy and then when done bring your katana back to the center position pointing to my throat.
Kyuzo steps back with his right foot and pivots his hands so that the blade goes back and at his right side. He gathers chakra, channeling it into his blade. Then Kyuzo steps forward while making a large upward cut through the air, releasing the chakra gathered up as a crescent blade of chakra flying through the air at the dummy. After that he immediately goes back into the ready stance with his sword forward.
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After envoking the samurai saber technique to use the chakra flow and then the user swings their sword and strikes his/her opponent.
(The technique is capable of countering Ninjutsu B rank and below due to the chakra charge)
Note: Can only be used by Samurai Biographies.
Note: Usable only 3 times per battle.
for this technique i want you to take the same pose again and concentrate your chakra into your katana, this is basically similar to the samurai saber but less powerful and then by raising your sword above your head or in any postion you wish swing the katana forwards to release the energy whilst striking at one the wooden dummies and as you swing it down step into the attack, then when done step backwards with small steps and return to the position to await further instructions
Kyuzo leaps forward at the dummy and raises his sword up above his head while channeling his chakra into the blade. He then cuts down swiftly putting his momentum into the cut and destroying the dummy. After that he steps back a step while holding the sword out in front of him and takes up the ready stance.
great work time for the most commonly used samurai technique and the basic technique for use in the land of iron the samurai saber technique:
(Samurai Guntou no Jutsu) Samurai Sabre Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This technique is unique to samurai, which employs the concept of chakra flow techniques similar to the flying sparrow and Kusanagi: Chidori katana. Through the use of chakra flow the user channels their chakra through their swords his extends the reach and the cutting ability of the blade, and also allows the user to fire crescents of chakra whenever the blade is swung. This released chakra is capable of great destruction as shown from how it destroyed a stone pillar. The samurai have also shown the ability to use shape transformation, as they can form their chakra blades into giant buzz saws, broad swords, spiked shafts, and axes. This ability allows them to rely on smaller swords while retaining greater reach, damage, and surprise attacks as needed.(The technique is capable of countering Ninjutsu of A rank and below due to the chakra charge technique).
Note: Can only be taught and used by a Samurai Bio
The samurai saber technique is the same as the other chakra charging techniques but this one takes on a more physical form around the blade. And there are various different ways to shape your chakra for example, you could form it into a buzzsaw to make it cut easier through things, or form into a dual headed axe for more brutal approach, but aswell as that you can release chakra cresents that are as strong as any elemental or non elemental ninjutsu. So what i want you to do is practice concentrating your chakra into your sword and then using shape manipulation to form first a buzzsaw and test on one the wooden dummies, then the dual headed axe and test it on a second wooden dummy and then finally releasing a chakra slash of energy to cut through a third.
Kyuzo gathers a large amount of chakra and channels it to his blade. He applies shape manipulation to bring the chakra out around the sword. Kyuzo shapes the dense chakra into a circular saw at the end. He then uses the spinning chakra saw to cut a dummy in half with a horizontal motion. After that Kyuzo reshapes the chakra to create a pole with double headed axe blades on the end. He uses it to split the next dummy in half with a vertical chop. He then lets all the chakra gather back around his blade and charges it up by making the chakra around the blade more focused and compact. Kyuzo pulls his arm back across to his left and then cuts down and to the right to release a crescent blade of chakra flying through the air to leave a clean slanted cut through the last dummy so that the top half topples to the ground after a moment of silence.
Good work remember with that technique there are plenty more varieties that could be done such as spears , shields even a form of crossbow to shoot bolts of chakra. But now we move onto one the best skills in the Samurai's movepool the Art of Iaido.
Iaidō (Art of Quick Draw and re-sheathing the sword) is constructed of smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade via a quick and swift flick to the ground on your right or left side, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The way this ability works is that dependant upon your ranking depends on the speed and level of effectiveness against enemy ninja. In close range if your as strong or higher level than your opponent you can effectively counter the ninja from using hand seals and resort to trying to counter the attack through similar means of kenjutsu or using a weapon or merely dodging and thus rendering your opponent useless against you. Its a perfect method in drawing a battle with a ninja into close combat and keeping it if you continously press them into the situation.
(Iaidō) - Art of Quick Draw and re-sheathing the sword
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: Iaidō is a form of kenjutsu where the user quick draws the blade extremely fast to strike, then re-sheathing it. This method prevents enemies from using hand seals, thus preventing them from using Ninjutsu making it highly effective against enemy ninja. General Mifune of the Land of Iron is a master of this style, making him highly effective against even ninja of caliber of Sasuke Uchiha and Hanzō the Salamander. (The speed of the technique is equivilant to that of the rank of the user)

We will begin firstly with the stance, similar to the basic stance which i will provide again with clear instruction (as i found some old notes from land of iron xD)
Chudan no Kamae:
the wielder of the katana has their right foot out infront of them and their left foot slightly behind them with the heal slightly raised off the floor and left leg slightly bent. The holding of the katana itself has the hilt leveled near your waist, an inch and half below your belly button and then held about 2-3 inches infront with the sword pointed 45 degrees upwards towards the targets throat. it is the most commonly used form due to its ability to be in the middle of all incoming attacks and can easily defend them.
Then after attaining this form i want you to place your left hand on the scabbard with your thumb pressed up against the tsuba with your right hand on the hilt and then i want you to push the Tsuba with your left thumb so its slightly unsheaved and as you do pull the katana out of the scabbard fully before raising it to above your right shoulder with the blade facing forwards and then turning it around as you change the hold to show your back hand to the outside and bringing the katana down in a diagonal slash which will be the inital attack to cut through your opponentm then when your done i want you to do a swift and quick flick of the katana to your right side to represent the cleaning of the blood from the blade and then quickly change your hold to a reverse grip and slowly guide the blade into the scabbard and again switch your hold to the original so that you can then be ready to counter your opponent or prepare to fight another and ending the ritual of Iaido.
Follow this method for a complete set of 5 times, (seperate posts) and start with a slow step for every movement so you get the basics down and then with each try increase your speed so that you end on your fifth attempt having increased your speed 5 times and making use of iaido more fluidly. For the initial cutting practice on this line of bamboo canes.
After you are done with those 5 separate posts of that move, I want you to do the following set of moves (separate posts as well, which is called Happō-Giri (Cutting in Eight Different Directions). Each cut is a simple strike from the top of the head straight down the centre line, with the bokken ending parallel to the floor at roughly the same height as the lower abdomen. The order of the strikes is north, south, east, west, southeast, northwest, southwest, northeast, finally returning - without performing a ninth cut - to the original position (north).
First, Kirioroshi (Makkōgiri):
You bring the sword above your head again and slash your sword vertically down, aiming at the top/center of the head.
With this move you can also cut their wrists if they have their hands in front of them etc. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Second, Migi Kesagiri:
With this, you again raise the sword above your head turn it a little to the right and bring it down towards their left shoulder/neck area,
creating a diagonal slash going from the right to the left. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Third, Hidari Kesagiri:
This is almost the same but you do the move from the left.
So you again raise the sword above your head turn it a little to the left and bring it down towards their right shoulder/neck area, creating a diagonal slash going from the left to the right. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Fourth, Migi Ichimonji:
You move your blade swinging it horizontally from the right to the left, cutting the trunk area of the enemy. With this you can also cut the tendencies of the arms as well. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Fifth, Hidari Ichimonji:
The same move but you invert your position and movement.
You move your blade swinging it horizontally from the left to the right, cutting the trunk area of the enemy. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Sixth, Migi Gyakugesa:
Here you do a diagonal slash coming from below, the right side of you, rising to the left.
You aim at the torso area of the enemy. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Seventh, Hidari Gyakugesa:
Here it is the same. You do a diagonal slash coming from below, the left side of you, rising to the right.
You aim at the torso area of the enemy. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Eighth, Tsuki:
With this move, you simply thrust your sword in to the enemy.
You can aim in several different locations such as the throat, chest, stomach, limbs and what ever. After the move, return to the basic starting stance as we learned in the very beginning.
Kyuzo holds his sword in scabbard against his left hip and places his thumb on the corner of the guard. He places his right hand on his upper thigh so that it is close to the sword. He then pushes the sword out a bit using his thumb so that it is ready to be drawn quickly. Kyuzo places his right hand onto the handle and pulls it out up and forward so the blade is cutting forward while with his left hand he pulls the scabbard back while twisting his body so that the sword may come out faster. After the tip of the blade is free, Kyuzo executes a vertical cut down, stopping it firmly. After that he cuts down to his side to flick the blade and then he moves the blade over to the scabbard held in his left hand and places his thumb on the groove in the blade for guidance as he pulls the sword out in front of himself and then sheaths the sword while placing his thumb back onto the guard.

Kyuzo draws out his sword and assumes chudan. He raises up his sword above his head and then swiftly cuts down, stopping at chin level. Then he lowers his sword back down to chudan.
He raises his arms above his head and keeping his left hand at his center Kyuzo strikes down at an angle to the right at an opponent's neck while turning around to strike. Kyuzo goes back to his ready position.
Kyuzo once again raises his sword up to strike down but to the left this time, keeping his left hand at center of course while turning to face east of his original position. He goes back to chudan.
Kyuzo's blade rises up to strike down, curving to the right as if to cut through the side of an opponent's torso while he turns to face west of his original position. Kyuzo assumes chudan.
Kyuzo turns around to face southeast and strikes again but curving to hit the left side of the torso and then assumes chudan.
Kyuzo lowers his sword down to the side and cuts up and to the left from the right while twisting to face northwest of his original position. He assumes chudan.
Kyuzo turns to face southwest. He lowers his sword to the left and then strikes up and to the right from below. He assumes chudan.
He then turns northeast. Kyuzo lurches forward while thrusting his sword and keeping downward pressure, using his body to give it power. He then goes back to chudan.
After all that he turns to face north again with chudan no kamae.

Description: The user using the art of Iaido to quickly draw their katana will then uses both hands to create a downward slash, thus cutting the opponent. Now using the same Chudan no kamae stance placing your left hand on the scabbard and your right hand on hilt and by pressing your thumb up to lightly unsheave the katana follow up with unsheaving it completely in a quick mannor as you have now learnt to do iaido with speed and then raise the katana above your head directly and grab hold of the hilt with your left hand and dring the katana down swiftly cutting down the center of that bamboo cane. then as same with the general iaido a swift and quick flick of the katana to your right hand side to represent the removal of the blood and then finish resheaving the katana.
Kyuzo holds the sword up against his hip with his left hand and pushes the blade out of its sheath slightly with his thumb. He places his right hand onto the handle and draws the blade out and up into the air above his head where he quickly brings his left hand up to grab the hilt. Kyuzo swiftly cuts down from this position and stops his blade at knee level. After that Kyuzo straightens up and flicks the sword down to the right with one hand and holds the scabbard with his left hand to resheath the sword.
