So are the samurai in this anime just regular people with you know samurai armor on, or are they actually useful? Like can they go toe to toe with a ninja in this show?

They should be awesome with a katana and they have some chakra attacks

they suck. mifune is the strongest samurai so far. and he aint that good

Theyre what came before Ninja then the Ninja way replaced being Samurai. So yes they should be able to go toe-to-toe with most ninja as their lineage is much older (so more time to develop skills)

The samurai arent just ordinary people, they are bawses with stupid good sword techniques like the quick draw mifune uses. And they use chakra to enhance their blades like sasuke's chidori blade.

I think hanzo was originally a samurai, too.

ONLY if they had the ability of Mifune, to stop Shinobi from forming hand signs. If not, there are TOO MANY TECHNIQUES at a shinobi's disposal to rival with a Samurai.
