While couped up in a suite with all sorts of setups for maintaining his life force, one of which is the Heretic Statue that allowed Madara to live long past his due date.

While possessing a power that allows him to literally absorb the energy of opponents . . . many of which were literal energy batteries . . .

Besides that, the fact that Mifune himself won't even be using composite energy in this fight (unless he does teleportations/body flicker) means he will always be more efficient, irrespective of how much energy Nagato has.

Perhaps, but then i would have to have restricted Hanzo as well, in order to even out the fight.

Besides that, isn't outright defeating Hanzo far better? Arguably just standing in the same room as Hanzo should be better.

Mifune wins he's one of the greatest kenjutsu users in naruto. And leader of the samurai and beat hanzo who beat the sanin and crippled pain. He's even on par with sasuke in speed or faster. In both his prime and as an old man he could have easily have beaten those two.

Sasuke effortlessly blocked mifune's strike meaning that their not on the same level

The sannin were much weaker back in the days as they were running from iwagakure shinobi who even orochimaru thought he could not beat and hanzo never stood any chance against any version of nagato infact he had to flee from a legless version that was nearly dead
