Samurai Jack S5 Episode 7 Review

The Return of the Iconic Samurai

To be honest, personally for me this episode was absolutely and truly an amazing spectacle to behold, especially as to how it handled itself in the form of the animation, story progression and of course the ability to successfully mimic and capture the mood of the original 4 seasons, lastly the absolute rebirth of Jack's iconic appearance being brought permanently into the fold once more.

Dramatic animation improvement, as shown in these examples.

Under Genndy's supervision, it seems that the new animators for Season 5 were still progressively learning on how to do Jack properly during the first episode, as shown during the flashback that occurred between the battle of Jack and Scaramouch, to see how they dramatically improved from doing that to now this is a show of sheer dedication, to see clearly that they share Genndy's passion with wanting this series to end in a blaze of animation beauty.

Grey Delisle and Tara Strong's neverending character feud continues.

No matter what series it is, seems that these two voice actors will always be locked in in a feud between their characters, as shown today with Ashi and her mother, the High Priestess.

The son finishes where the father left of.

That was exceptionally clever by Genndy, as someone who watched the original 4 Seasons alongside "Birth of Evil", I immediately spot the echo of Jack's father with this particular scene, when he was gifted the magical sword from Odin, Ramu and Ra.

Aishis one man army was awesome but it felt like she was winning alittle to easy. Good to find all see the mother get her just rewards but was hoping it'd be more brutal
