Part 2:
Salem built an undeground cellar just outside of the village to hide the eyes he had stolen in jars. His father had always sent him on errands to purchase puppet parts and different things like that so he easily got away with buying whatever he needed without arousing suspiscion as long as he took the materials straight to the cellar without his father seeing it. General Bastion bragged and bragged to the Kazekage and the village elders and anyone else within ear shot about how his son single handedly took out two uchiha assassins.

Salem constructed fake sharingan eyes to place in the dead Uchiha bodies so no one would notice their eyes missing and get suspicious. The war wasn't over but the Leaf shinobi had temporarily pulled out of the dessert to regroup and and re-think their strategy so Salems father spent the nights partying and laughing with his men at bars and shows. Salem spent this time that his father wasn't around to study the sharingan eyes and read up more on the Uchiha and finally one day while running an errand to get groceries he over heard someone mention that Wolf was being held at the top of the prison tower in a cell alone and that he would not talk and spill any information on the Leaf village no matter how they tortured him so Salem decided to go take a look.

So one night (A few weeks after Wolf had been defeated and captured by General Bastion) Salem climbed to the top of the tower and using chakra control walked down the wall to speak to Wolf through his cell. He had hoped to learn more about the Uchiha by doing this. "Who's out their? Geni is that you?" asked Wolf as he sat up and looked over to the bars. "Who's Geni?" asked Salem. "Ah it's just another sand shinobi, why don't you leave me in peace" replied Wolf rudely. "I'm not like the others, I don't care for this village and nor do I respect the power of it's jutsu, I want to be an Uchiha" stated Salem in his typical uneasily calm tone.

"Good for you but you should curse your mom for that, you were born a dirt ninja and thats all you'll ever be" replied Wolf. Salem started to grow angry at this statement but then calmed down, he did not want to lose his temper and lose what chance he might have at learning more about the Uchiha through Wolf. "So all of your Uchiha soldiers were killed?" questioned Salem still seemingly being nice. "They died on the battlefield with honor, now I will not talk to you anymore, goodnight" replied Wolf irritated.

Salem left the tower and started to walk home, but a thought creeped its way into his head. He could go and still the sharingans of all the dead uchiha bodies since he knew all of the sand shinobi were all busy getting drunk in town and the leaf shinobi have completely evacuated the dessert for the time being. Salem set out into the dessert and began stealing the sharingan. He only managed to get 40 of them and 4 had been stabbed through by kunai so he didn't keep them. His 36 plus his 4 back at home made 40. He had no idea what he was going to do with them but he believed as long as he possessed them he could figure out a way to use their power. So he began taking them all back in one large jar.

As he made his way back to the village he came across two bandits. One very large who had a somewhat beast like appearance and the other a bit shorter and much thinner. They were bussy picking the pockets of the dead bodies. Salem approached them interested. "What are you doing?" he asked. They both stopped and looked up to see a young man about 6 feet tall with mid-neck length blonde hair with red streaks slightly coloring it, he wasn't very fit in his upperbody but he wasn't completely thin either so they could tell by his appearance that he might not have been a diligent trainer but he was a ninja. His skin was so tan it was almost an orange like color. "None of your business boy you best be getting home to your mommy it's late" replied the shorter, thinner one.

"My moms dead" replied Salem calmly with his arms folded. He seemed so unconcerned by the thugs aggrivated tone. "Go!" the man yelled again. "Make me" Salem said. Salem didn't usually care to pick fights but this man had annoyed him so he decided to get a little excercise with them. He could tell they were not ninja so this caused him to immediately dismiss the possibility that they could be a threat to his power since they were not Samurai either. But he could feel that they had some chakra, so they had the potential to be ninja. They must be renegades that escaped their village without training to become ninja, Salem thought to himself.

The man grew very angry and slowly walked toward him. Salem still stood with his arms folded staring the man down, piercing his eyes with his gaze. Finally the larger one ran right past the smaller one who was owning Salems gaze as he walked toward him. Salem was slightly surprised by this tactic it was a very smart one, the small one walking straight toward him to get his attention on him and then the large one quickly rushing in without warning. The large bandit attempted to bring his fist down on Salem but Salem leaped into the air dodging the attack, the blow caused the sand to bust apart and create a huge crater in which sand poured rapidly into refilling it. Salem took note of the mans awsome strength.

Then out of no where Salem turned while still in mid-air to see the other smaller bandit wielding sai and coming straight for him. Salem quickly dispersed into sand before his eyes. As the dispersed sand spread out over the bandit shuriken started flying out of it but the bandit easily blocked them all with is sai. Salem took notice again at the bandits skill in this as he neared the ground. Salem quickly formed hand signs and lifted the palm of his hand pointing toward the sky. "Giant Sand Shuriken jutsu!" he yelled as he formed a huge sand shuriken and then hurdled it at the bandits. The smaller one dodged easily but the shuriken cut straight through the big one dropping him to the ground.

As the smaller bandit finally stopped moving and got himself stationary he began to look back at his fallen comrade but he wasn't allowed to for Salem spoke again. "Quick sand jutsu!" and then suddenly a swirling pool of quick sand appeared underneath the bandit. The bandit leaped into the air to dodge it but then he noticed Salem twitch his finger and suddenly two long wooden arms came out of the quick sand and grasped the bandit slamming him to the ground. He fell helplessly before Salem who then began to walk toward him. "You bandits maybe more skillfull then the average ninja but it doesn't matter that you are stronger and more experienced then me, as long as I have a superior mind I can beat anyone" said Salem.

"You weren't carrying a puppet with you when we saw you so how did you manage to get a puppet underneath us without us seeing?" asked the man in frustration. "I've been pulling him under the sand with my strings the whole time I've been in the dessert so I could quickly dispose of any Leaf scouts that might try to ambush me" replied Salem. "Hmm impressive kid, guess you are pretty smart" replied the bandit. "What's your name?" asked Salem. "Axel and my friend over their that you killed was Riku...you filthy..." the man started to curse but Salem interrupted.

"Don't worry I will make good use of your bodies, you are better skilled then the last opponents I killed" stated Salem. Salem then stabbed Axel in the heart with his kunai. I can study more on Sassori's old technique and use their bodies as my puppets, why didn't I think of this before? it's so simple, then I can implant the sharingan in them and figure out a way to control it through them. That way the negative effects the sharingan has on the body won't affect me but I could still gain it's power, Salem thought all this to himself as he smiled and looked up into the night sky.
