Not at all. If anyone else, Kaguya would have bum rushed right through. Sakura strength pushed her down and kept her down. She hit her so hard her horn came off.

I agree that Sakura punching Kaguya was kinda forced by Kishimoto to make her useful in that fight.

But you don't understand how the punch works. The chakra was used to enhance the strength of the fist. It isn't a chakra attack, it's purely a physical attack, but was strengthen with chakra in her fist.

You actually misunderstand "chakra release". You understand it the wrong way, that chakra came out of her fist. But no, it didn't.

We don't see chakra flowing out of her hand like medical ninjutsu.

This "chakra release" term is something different. It actually means something like releasing the chakra from its storage so that the chakra can be used.

Just because we don't see the chakra doesn't mean it's not there. It's like how they use chakra for walking on water and such.
