In this thread, I will be calculating the energy yield of Sakura/Tsunade's punch.

Tazzilla got the height of the Juubi-fodder to be 5.04 meters in this thread. Saves me some time.


Without further ado, let's get down to business.

Given that the Juubi-fodder is 5.04 meters tall, we can pixel scale the rest of the diagram.

10 px = 5.04 meters

500 px = (500/10)*5.04 = 252 meters
510 px = (510/10)*5.04 = 257.04 meters
293 px = (293/10)*5.04 = 147.672 meters
230 px = (230/10)*5.04 = 115.92 meters
16 px = (16/10)*5.04 = 8.064 meters
9 px = (9/10)*5.04 = 4.536 meters

I will be treating the rock as an ellipsoid.



Rock Volume = 4/3*pi*(8.064/2)*(4.536/2)^2 = 86.875 m^2



The density of continental crust is 2.7 grams per cubic centimeter, or 2700 kilograms per cubic meter.

Rock Mass = 86.875*2700 = 234562.5 kilograms

We need to find the potential energy of the rock. The equation for potential energy is:

Rock Mass = 234562.5 kilograms
Gravity = 9.81 m/s^2
Rock Height = 115.92 meters (brown line)

Potential Energy = 234562.5*9.81*115.92 = 266738657.85 Joules

We now need to find the joules per meter squared.

To do that, we need the cross section area of the rock.

Cross section area (ellipse) = pi*r1*r2 = pi*(8.064/2)*(4.536/2) = 28.7285 m^2

J/m^2 = 266738657.85/28.7285 = 9284809.782968 J/m^2

The equation for the surface area of a cone is:

Blast surface area = [pi*(147.672/2)^2 + pi*(147.672/2)*257.04] = 76750.868 m^2

To get out total energy yield, we multiply the surface area of blast by the joules per meter squared.



Total Energy = 76750.868*9284809.782968 = 712617210057.6856 Joules = 170 tons of TNT equivalent


Now here is the question, is this an impressive attack? The answer is no. There are plenty of other quantifiable energy yields in the Narutoverse that are far more deadly than this. Even Hiruzen pushing Kurama out of the village was able to output more energy than this. Deidara's casual squid bomb output over 100 times more energy than this.​

Your calculations are wrong, but that's the least of my worries. Why are you making scalings on fiction that has proven to be inconsistent? None of those calculations are worth taking in to consideration based on random lines on a manga page.

Your first problem was forgetting this is a manga.

Even if nothing is to scale, this result is close to what it should be.

It still will 1 shot someone
It only 1 shots someone with less than Multi-City Block level durability.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. Kishimoto's scalings are inconsistent, you just act like the standard deviation of the size numbers are far too large. Kishimoto has proven to try his hardest to draw things to scale. Example 1: Meteor. You can get a size result of less than a 20 meter standard deviation scaling from different scans. That is how accurate Kishimoto is. This is an approximation. I know that this result is not exact, but it's not only close but it's from 1 panel only.

Plus, I don't think you realize that this was only 1 panel. When things get too inconsistent is when you scale from at least 3 panels. So please, go back to MvC.

Ot: idk if your calculations are correct because idk the first thing about Algebra, physics or any other form of High-level math (I cheat my way through math most of the time xD) but you seem to have put a lot of effort into this.

Lets say kunai travell at the speed of bullets which they can't cause of terminal velocity and all. and lets say they weigh the same as a chair which they don't. we have seen sakura being cut by said knives which in this hypothetical are way more destructive then in reality. if the force of a bullet chair can hurt her why would she survive the impact of 170 tons of dianamyte... cause newtons second law states that she gets that force too. so if we compare the distructive power of the two and assume her durability is 700 times a normal human which is about where ot would need to be to survival the kunai chair bullet, which is a huge overstatement, she still would have died from the impact in OPs scan.... yea physics don't apply on account of her being alive.
