So is it different from a normal chakra pool? I remember Tsunade's mark vanishing but coming back so I assume once you have it the seal isnt too hard to get back. Is it just like giving yourself more chakra capacity?

I think that the Yin Seal actually didn't totally vanish from Tsunade's forehead, it was just at a very low amount of chakra, it was only the mark that vanished. Tsunade was just restoring it to make the mark reappear.

Yes, Sakura is useful. But it took her too long (3 years) to store this much chakra.
