The power up is not Sakura death but if Hamura shows up like Hagoromo shows up and gives His power to Naruto and Sasuke sines it was the two brothers powers combine that defeated the Juubi originally.

I've hated Sakura ever since part one where she was utterly useless and waste of pannel space. In shipuuden she got a bit stronger but considering the rest of the characters she still just wastes space.

Having said that, Kishimoto will never kill Sakura. If anything, she might outlive everyone else. I wouldn't be surprised..
