Interesting response chatte. I was waiting for one to begin with.=D=D
And how do you explain that Kaguya has a third eye on her forehead which is related to genjutsu (sharingan, duuh) AND Byakugo is known as the third eye on Buddha's forehead which is able to see past the mundane world (which in Narutoverse would mean genjutsu) and Sakura has that symbolic third eye on her forehead pluuuuuuuuuuuuus we know that her genjutsu feats are YET to be done with?
Kaguya has third eye, because Kaguya is projected as the origin of everything and hence posses Yin as well as Yang traits and hence it actually makes sense for her to have traits from two opposite forces of the manga, including genjutsu and traits from two seemingly opposite religions. Even if concept of Byakugou is derived from concept of 'Urna', I don't see how it is related to genjutsu, as genjutsu is related to 'illusions' rather than 'seeing into mundane world', please elaborate this point.
Sakura isn't the only one with Byakugou, do you want to imply that Kaguya's previous reincarnation was Tsunade?
About genjutsu feats, I remember mentioning once that there is close possibility of Sakura being related to Senju clan,(Toka senju, foreshadowing of this?) and rather having small amount of Yin aspect giving her enough of genjutsu prowess to break through it, but not enough to cast her own 'powerful version' of it.
Yes, the inspirations in this manga are various: Buddhism, Shintoism, Taoism and the recent one could very well be Galic inspiration if I am not wrong (with the full moon and crescent moon) but that doesn't mean they aren't connected. In respect to Kaguya alone, she has various inspirations mythologically speaking, in terms of character creation.
Plus Kaguya is inspired from the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter and, funny enough, Sakura was drawn with abamboo cutting knife in her mouth, back in Pt. 1.
One panel with Sakura holding a bamboo cutting knife doesn't make her related to Kaguya. In fact I can discard it by saying that 'Kishi never put that much amount of thought into it'. Just like I said earlier, Kaguya is pretty much starting point of entire shinobiverse so I expect her to be a character connected to various religions, again next question that comes to my mind is, is Sakura connected to many religions to same extent?
Mostly, this universe is based on cyclic destinies, so to speak, therefore, the Haruno symbol having a connection with Kaguya or this whole Sage stuff, isn't quite that out of the ordinary.
Symbol having connection with Sage isn't out of ordinary actually she has it, but probably through Senju clan or Yang stream of manga, but is she reincarnation of Kaguya? No.
Keeping mythology aside, it doesn't even suit the flow of manga. Sasuke and Naruto were foreshadowed as seemingly opposite forces throughout the manga, but it was rather never implied that Sakura has similar traits as Kaguya, rather Kaguya's character wasn't even introduced till chapter 670. On top of that she has been portrayed as the character who ate forbidden fruit of the holy tree to gain power, isn't it exactly opposite of Sakura's character who worked hard on her own to become 'one of the best medical nin'?
