sakura with lees backstory

well we know lee and sakura were created by kishi to create/show the human side of ninja. with Naruto and the others using insane ninjutsu, summoning meteors, making lightning from mid-air, creating fire hotter than the sun.

Lee made the pefect his ability to not weild chakra disabled all the chances of having all these abilities.

now here is my point, combine Sakura's story with Lee.

Sakura has a drive to become the best without the use of chakra. and she instead fought against gaara and was wounded instaed of lee. and we see more depth to her character through that journey and Naruto went out to find tsunade for her and the other reasons.

I just really feel that the reason sakura failed horribly as a character because she was never given the depth as rock lee or the drive to win(except in 7 panels of tver the course of 635 chapters)

i mean seriously imagine a bad ass female with insane taijutsu prowess with the will and pwoer to become the best with the disability of not using nijutsu.

Sakura is based on chakra control and without it she wouldn't be the same

What well, steady developed female characters have we really had in this series. Note i said steady.

It's not just with lee's, I really wish that Sakura had more of a deeper backstory or experience that could make her a interesting character.
With more of a meaningful backstory, that could've changed her motivation for power and development in terms of personality and maturity, ya know? :/

That has nothing to do with development character wise, that leans more on the power up aspect of things. She will show some form of genjutsu or dispelling it. We have not really seen her use any taijutsu yet in this war other than the punch really same for speed demonstration. From what i saw when she attacked the juubi minion she was moving pretty fast she punched it jumped far and fast enough to catch up to it flyign back and landed the punch.

She will probably never get a elemental types. Tsunade doesn't really use jutsu like that anyways.

I agree with you. Sakura with Lee's story would have been awesome, and she'd actually be really powerful. Sakura with gates, then getting trained by Tsunade - that would be awesome. I think an issue with Naruto is that too many of the integral or interesting storylines are assigned to guys when they could be so much more interesting assigned to women. Sakura's whole interest in Sasuke could even still have been maintained, with her training to open the gates to impress Sasuke and get him to notice her. She was pretty pathetic in Part 1, where she would only ever cry or just dream about wanting to be with Sasuke. It would have been more interesting if she had a drive to go out there and actually try and get what she wanted rather than just sit there and hope by chance that Sasuke falls in love with her when she hasn't even done anything worthy of being noticed, let alone loved.

I saw an earlier comment replying to Lee being a better character than Sakura and saying the character was just fine, because she wasn't a crybaby, she's a calmer person, she's normal and isn't emo. But, really? Sakura, not a cry baby?? In what manga exactly is that? All she did in Part 1 was cry and get angry @ Naruto + K.O punch him. She became so badass in Part 2 - took 5 steps forward, then took 3 back midway through Part 2... Her development is frustrating. But it is what it is. Oh well.
