Slug eyes look an awful lot better than stupid toad and snake/dragon eyes, that's for sure.
It makes complete sense for there to be Slug Sage Mode, because after all Sakura is important and will get a Mode.

Why should there be a Sage Mode for every type of summon?

There doesnt HAVE to be one for every type of summon, but
Hmm, lets see:

The sannin:
Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Tsunade.
Snake, Toad, Slug.
Rock, Paper, Scissors.
3way deadlock.

Orochimaru, imperfect sage mode. Kabuto perfects it.
Jiraiya imperfect sage mode. Naruto perfects it.

It is likely that the third sannin has one as well, but that she did not perfect it and this
task will be left for her student. This student will be most likely Sakura.

So yeah...

What kind of powers would it give someone? It just seems silly...


Only other Sage Mode that would make a kind of sense is Hawk(who knows where Sasuke got that summon) not that that's at all likely either though.
