Sakura is suppose to be a genjutsu type (according to Kakashi).
We have not seen her use genjutsu, but she has displayed good insight of seeing through them throughout this series.
All this war I have been hoping for her to use one good genjutsu (or a sage mode) but okay, she has been useful in other ways. However, now in the latest episode, she gets owned by genjutsu.
Even though it was from Sasuke, who is a host of Indra and has the ultimate eyes atm (so its probably a high lvl genjutsu). Although Sasuke has never been a pro with genjutsu, unlike Itachi.
Sasuke is more about ninjutsu.
It still kinda sucks and feels a bit as a slap in the face on Sakura her character.
I kinda liked her character in the past but I feel things like this, make me lose likingness (is that a word) for her character. As if Kishi just doesnt want or cant push her to a certain lvl of awesome.
The Byakugo upgrade was nice though, but unlike Kakashi, who went double Sharingan Susanoo Obito fusion awesome mode, her time to shine felt a bit disappointing in comparison to me.
Next to this, Naruto can even create eyes and other parts (made Kakashi a new eye), so Sakura her healing role, looks less awesome now too. Sure she has different healing, so it can complement, but still.
It does not even have to be some flashy pewpew offensive move that I want to see her use to shine with.
It can be something totally different.
Would have been cool for example if she could tank Kaguya's ashbones like a boss (with a slug sage mode for example) and survive, punch them back, destroy them before they can do harm, or figure out something important with her intelligence (as in more so than others), but that latter role was given to Kakashi, so she didnt do something like that either.
Manga guys saving girls doesnt have to be a bad read either. It can have something heroic, romantic and such, but in Sakura's case, the having to be saved happens to much for my taste.
Fight with Kaguya and the time after the fight:
She gave Obito chakra. Took some acid hit on her arm and gave Kaguya one punch (an important one though).
She apparently got 1hit KO genjutsu owned, after her speech to Sasuke, by Sasuke.
Overall it feels disappointing :dead:, because I had hoped her character development would have taken a different route. I would rather have her seen decide to not follow Sasuke or get KO's unconscious after a little fight were she for example left a mark or a scar on Sasuke. Or that Kakashi was hurt badly and needed urgent medical attention so that she couldnt follow. It would have all preferred it over this instant KO oneshot genjutsu.
Even Naruto not wanting her to follow (if she was determined) and knocking her unexpectingly unconscious, would have been better than this KO oneshot genjutsu.
