First of all this is not a bash thread. From my perspective, this is a fair match up and hence I posted this. Now, on the power front, Sakura may have an edge and definitely she can tank some acid/lava attacks by her regen. Mei on the other hand has a more elegant way of fighting than the monkey punching ground technique, leaving you open on all fronts. Please share your thoughts.
Madara was only toying with the Kage and even then, Mei only achieved what she did thanks to a combined effort. Sakura isn't going to mess around; she won't let herself be caught.

Add the fact that he was madara and this is sakura and you know mei will shit on her. Mei almost destroyed MS sasuke if not for zetsu. Sakura is fodder..
Mei wins but no without injury. Sakura is a tough opponent and Kishi is designing her to fight alongside naruto and sasuke. I think as an adult, Sakura should put up a good fight.

The moment he attain his chakra back, Mei was shitting herself to how Susanoo easily fodderized her efforts. Anyways, Sakura only appear surprised to the deistic reckoning that took form (that being the dimensional swapping). 1000 healings is so upped that you can walk through fire and come out fine. Recall that lightening transportation jutsu, ya are a disappointment.
The better question is" Can Mei tank Tsunade? If no, then understand that if Sakura who had surpassed her sensei is compared to this...I am done. Please don't quote me for this senseless discussion. :|
Sakura heals fast, and is evasive. Mei is fast and uses unique jutsu. If Sakura can get close before Mei can change the landscape, then she might stand a chance. Otherwise, Mei will melt her before she can heal anything. Don't forget while the healing jutsu is really powerful, if Sakura hits lava, she's going to pass out. It doesn't matter that she might be healing still she's in the lava, she's not going to escape it.

To be honest byakugou can't heal the burning. Have you seen what lava can do? The burning will be constant. It's not like getting impaled once. And her entire body would be set on fire too...

Thats not entirely true. If Sakura was so immune or resilient to Lava then she wouldnt have been clinging for her life so desperately in Kaguyas dimension.
Personally i think the outcome of a battle between Sakura and Mei would depend on the location of the battle.
If they were fighting in close quarters then obviously Sakura would knock Mei out before she even as a chance to compose herself, let alone weave hand signs for a Jutsu; given the fact that Sakura has the upper hand in both Taijutsu and Raw Power.
However, if they were to fight in an area where they were not contained, i believe Mei might have a slight advantage. Her Jutsus seem to be underated. She'd burn Sakura alive. But that said... 1000 Healing Technique would still give Sakura the edge. Logic is telling me Mei would win but for some reason i do think that Sakura would take the fight. Maybe i have become so used to Plot Shields that i am seeing the outcome of the battle in that way.

@bold of course it is..but there are things it can't tank.
@underlined That wasn't a lightning transportation technique. Lightning is slower than the speed of light. The name of the technique is also a dead give away. (Ethereal transmission technique)

Humans can't sink in lava..at most she would have fallen knee deep in it ..losing her legs first before her body. So by portrayal, Lava is very dangerous for byakugou users and Mei has lava.
What i understand from the scans you posted is that Mei wasn't after Karin. Look at Karin's position in proportion with that chair and table in the first panel of the first scan.
Then in the first panel of the second scan we see that the AOE of the lava doesn't even reach where Karin was initially standing (right side of that chair facing Mei). We also see Mei just ignores Karin who lands in her front btw. Does this analysis look wrong?

Well Mei was fighting 5 Madara clones in susanoo and jumped to escape 4. The 5th one punched her while she was in the air but she was able to put her hand to guard her before it connected.

I think you like hearing yourself talk, when did I say humans sinked in lava? I swear I just said Sakura would be negged by a pool of lava (she couldn't tank a pool of lava). Smh and of course Byakugou couldn't restore a full body turned to ash it instantly regenerates physical damage.

Just becuase Sasuke doges a smaller scale of lava doesn't mean Sakura can't, how are you to know what amount of speed it took Sasuke to evade that lava, compare & contrast it too Sakura's speed and determine Sakura couldn't do it? You sound silly, just becuase Sakura isn't as fast as Sasuke doesn't mean she can't evade things that Sasuke can when he's fatigued and low on chakra. Yes Sakura is fast enough to evade Meis lava.,

This is all I'm going to say, Sakura managed to postion herself in front a person who had over 12 active Mangekyō Sharingan's in each cardinal direction.
Mei doesn't have a feat to compete but if you don't want to omit that there are more speed feats Mei can't compete with.,

Lets look at the distance Sakura makes with 1 leap. The punch made the clone go flying with enough speed to zoom passed Naruto and Sasuke. With 1 leap Sakura makes up almost the same distance with her speed.
In the aftermath of the punch we see Sakura in front of Naruto and Sasuke looking almost like a dot indicating how far of a distance she made. They are seen covering themselves from feeling a bit of the shockwave of the punch but of course with the distance she made they weren't in range of the attack.
